I've never close off the airholes when refilling and I did not have any leaks with my first quad nor the triple I am currently running. I did have issues with one of 2 quad coils. It was definitely the head that was causing the leaking in my case.- tim_man

Smok TFV4 Sub Ohm Tank
put in the RBA section and it leaked like a sieve with what I thought was enough cotton for the wick. Decided to replace the RBA with another fresh quad, unfortunately the new quad seems to cause some leaking unlike the first one I used. Pretty sure it is the actual head causing the leaking...- tim_man
