I don't have experience with the winder so I can't comment on the behavior of the light on the unit itself, however, the quick flashing to green on the charger is normal, that is just the charger checking the voltage of the battery.
Turning up the voltage will increase vapor production and increase the heat of the vapor. As you said it can also burn your juices depending on several factors, the juice you are vaping, the voltage and the resistance of the atomizer.
Right?!? And they don't know yet if they are even going to produce the bases separately unfortunately. I hope, if they do, that they produce a chrome one
Kanger has been shipping the v2's with the removable drip tip since about 9/3, all of the protank mini 2's they are producing now will have the removable drip tip.
The voltage is determined by the battery and (if applicable) the mods settings. Removing flavor wicks doesn't affect voltage. Have you tried running it at 3.5-4v with the flavor wicks intact?
As long as you are buying from a reputable vendor I wouldn't worry, if it puts your mind at ease though you could buy a nicotine testing kit which are only about $10 from wizard labs (although last time I checked they were out of stock)
I try and stop myself recoiling too often, they always have more life in them but I always end up recoiling every 6-10mls whether it be because of flavor change or just wanting a nice fresh wick in there.
My guess would be that it is a hotspot where the wire has a miniscule gap between it and the wick (thus making it hotter than the wire which is in contact with the wick) and then, as cramptholomew said, a tiny amount of liquid comes into contact with it and is heated up really fast and pops
As Butters said, I'd try rebuilding your protank heads or pick up a cheap RDA and give that a try to make sure you want to get into more advanced recoiling before jumping into the deep end with the magoo
I feel your pain, I find that, as dcoin said, hydration definitely helps flavor but overall, to experience the "full" flavor, I do have to have a rotation of flavors.
Are you looking for a vv mod or a mech mod? Mech mods cannot be vv (unless you use a kick) by default since they are mechanical rather than running circuitry (which is what the kick adds)
