I'm glad for you that you seem to have it squared away on building. But!!!!
Doing this without a way to test for resistant and shots is very dangerous in a sense that it will kill your battery dead if there is a shot in your Coil built.
Get yourself a digital multi meter and learn proper use...
This a tittle that matches the "coil builts" Super Duper threads with lots and lots of pictures.
For example :

They works find in my experience.....
I now have lots of coils and rebuilt them. So no longer needs to buy any more replacements.
And tank size have nothing to do with taste. But the coil resistant and air flow makes for different taste as wattage/voltage does. For example.... I find that...
I have one real and 2 knock off's. All function well. I rebuilt my own coils. So I can't speak for the coils that comes with them tho.
Also check out RC200 .... Uses the same coils as protanks and they works great. My daily driver. I use protanks at home as they are heavier with mvp.
Cheers
Battery upgrade path.... Twist to itaste VV v4 -> itaste MVP V2 -> VV VW mods (such as VAMO , provari and advanced box mods).
Coloured clero -> T3S -> protank 2 (either mini or full sized. You can get knock off's with coloured tanks) ->RBA, RDA.
Cheers.
remove the coil.
remove the chimney. Look in on the coil, you should see a few flavor wicks laying over the coil. remove 1 or 2..
Reinstall, don't forget the little rubber grommet.
try again and see if ok.
Cheers.
There are a few things you can do and check with some help on this forum and on youtube.
1. Try doing a dry puff (sucking without pushing the on button.)
If that stops your dry hits, than remove 1 or 2 strings of flavor wicks. When you put the coil back together, make sure that there is not...
Yes. Okay. Essentially you have to think this way.
You have a lot of wire to heat up before the liquid starts to vaporize. So it's gets warmer before its gets hotter. You are also using up battery power more in doing so.
Yes, It will feel hotter (the whole tank) as compare to single coil head...
