The Protank and the Protank Mini do use the same heads. The EVODs use those heads as well.
I don't really care for the metal tip on my Protank either. The Protank 2 and the Protank Mini 2 allow you to use your own drip tips, so that might be a solution for you.
What mod are you vaping with? It's possible you didn't have a short with the 1.0Ω coil; if you are using an APV like a VAMO or SVD I believe the resistance needs to be over 1.3Ω or so or the mod won't fire it.
Personally I've built coils for my IGO-L and recoiled Protank/EVOD heads at a bunch...
This is the place that I know of: http://www.jwraps.com/Default.asp
It's not paint, but the finish on the non-stainless V3's is very thin. It tends to wear off with normal use and scratches easily apparently.
15W is way too high for that atomizer. Start at around 6W and work your way up until you find the best setting for you. If you increase the wattage and taste a slightly burnt flavor back it back down.
Look online for a 510 bridgeless dripping atomizer. Other than rinsing it out occasionally...
I feel the same way. I keep looking at Namber Juice but can't justify $20 for 30ml of the stuff.
To the OP, do you have any brick and mortar vape shops nearby? If so, definitely stop in. If they sell eliquid they should allow you to have a seat and try any liquid you like at no cost.
Tons of people have unfortunately. You will regularly see threads pop up with people asking why everyone goes crazy for Boba's because the bottle they got tastes terrible. I truly feel bad for them when they come to the realization that they just Googled "Boba's Bounty" and were duped.
But as...
There are literally hundreds of eliquid vendors, and you will literally get hundreds of different opinions here. Everyone has different tastes and preferences; what tastes awful to me can be the next person's all-day vape.
I would start by browsing the topics here: General E-Liquid Discussion...
I've noticed that with the fruity flavors I got, they definitely improved after sitting for a week or two.
Some of the bakery flavors are fantastic right out of the mail though. I got a big bottle of B&W Cookie yesterday and it was fantastic after dinner last night.
Give variable wattage a try. Start at about 6W and increase until you find your sweet spot.
The benefit to variable wattage is that if you use a coil with a different resistance you won't have to play with the settings much, if at all.
As stated above, the Cisco Spec HH.357 is pretty much considered the standard at this point. They are a little pricey though for someone who just wants to try dripping for the first time.
The one I've used is the Stingray 510 Atomizer and it's worked great for me. I bought two of them and got...
I can virtually guarantee that you will get a better vape from the equipment you ordered than you will from any cigalike sold at a gas station.
My advice would be to do a YouTube search for each piece of equipment that you ordered and start watching instructional and review videos. That will...
