I wouldn't mess around with these chargers. If it's not working the way it should stop using it and contact them. It's not worth the risk of it overcharging a battery.
After I rebuilt my first EVOD/Protank head with 3mm silica and 32ga Kanthal and tested it out I opened up the package of extra heads that I purchased and rebuilt them all. I didn't even want to bother with stock heads anymore.
Sometimes it helps if you are getting dry hits. Most of the stock heads I have vape much better with only a single flavor wick because more eliquid is able to get to the coil.
That said, it isn't always necessary; if you are not having any problems don't do it, because you will likely end up...
15-20° is a lot. If you are sure that the 510 connection on your battery isn't crooked then definitely contact FT, I wouldn't even attempt to attach it to my battery if the threads weren't mounted straight.
It really depends on the flavor that you are switching from. Usually I just blow mine out, then twist up a paper towel and slide it into the atomizer and let it sit for a while so any excess is soaked up, then drip again with a new flavor. Sometimes, however, a really strong flavor may hang...
The general rule of thumb is for each 100 mAh you will get about an hour of vape time, but it varies depending on how often you vape, what you are vaping with, the quality of the internal battery, etc. I wouldn't expect to get more than 10 hours of vape time, and it will take a few hours to...
A cartomizer contains an atomizer, but it is surrounded by a filler material that you saturate with eliquid. As you vape it the eliquid works its way toward the atomizer and when the filler material is dry you simply refill it.
A dripping atomizer is basically just a coil that you drip directly...
That started kit you chose will be fine to get your feet wet, but buy two of them. When your battery dies and needs to be charged you will wish you had a spare battery to vape with.
The Protank 2 is a solid choice, but it is heavy and is a little bulky on an eGo battery. It's also glass, so if...
Just to follow up I have a 100% VG juice in my EVOD with a 3mm silica wick and it's vaping perfectly. Still no dry hits even with a much thicker juice.
Assuming there isn't too much variation in the PT/EVOD heads I think 3mm is perfect. Of course, YMMV.
I love the EVODs and the Protank, but they do have some differences:
The Protank is glass, and the EVODs are plastic. If you are using a juice that is known to react and crack plastic tanks go with the Protank.
The Protank holds more eliquid, so you will have to fill it less often. That could...
If any part of the coil is touching the surrounding metal you'll short out. That's including the ends of the wire leads at the base of the head.
Make sure the coil is centered in the head and is not touching the sides. Also make sure the leads that go down through the center of the head are not...
Even if you don't own any 18350s you can still see what it looks like in its smaller configuration by removing one of the tube sections. It will be lighter without a battery in it obviously, but that will give you an idea of it's size before spending money.
Just my :2c:.
