    OK, but if you try to wrap 100 coils all the same size for the same device with half of them having 5 wraps and half having 7, on average the coils with 7 wraps are going to have a higher resistance. That's all I was saying.

    Actually, the more wraps you have the longer you need the wire to be thus increasing resistance. At least that is my understanding.

    I just did my first recoil this morning using 3mm silica wick and 32ga Kanthal. I ended up using a 4/5 wrap and got exactly 1.8 ohms. I was going to guess that the Kanthal was wound too tight as well, see if you can wrap it a little looser or add more wick.

    Kanger Protank question

    I do the same, but I would recommend trying the head out with all of the included flavor wicks first. Some of the replaceable heads have worked perfectly for me after removing a flavor wick but others have leaked on me with thinner eliquids.

    If you are talking about the silicone cap that sits right above the wicks and is mounted on the center post don't touch it; that prevents leaking. If you're talking about something else please clarify so we can help you out better.

    There are a few vendors that sell KR808 devices almost exclusively, but I think 510 connections have become the norm. The one that I know of for sure that sells a lot of 808 stuff is Vapor4Life E-Cigarette.

    If you like the vape at 7.5 to 8.0W, then keep it at that setting. If you are using variable wattage it won't matter whether you are using a 2.2 ohm coil or a 1.7 ohm coil; the mod will output the correct voltage to achieve that power setting.

    Vamo V2 - bad chip or...?

    Any chance the battery is bad? And if it is the chip, I did see a vendor selling replacements recently. I can't remember where at the moment, but you could buy the whole unit with the screen attached. I do remember thinking that you could almost buy a new VAMO for the same price, however.
