The problem is that the area around the battery on his VAMO is getting hot as well; taking a break from vaping an atty isn't going to help that. I've never felt any part of my VAMO getting warm to the touch except for the dripping atty itself that is attached.
Have you tried to find a tobacco eliquid flavor that you like? Also, have you tried your usual eliquid with a higher nicotine content for in the morning?
I'm not a veteran really, but the first thing I would do is stop using it. The second thing would be to buy a new battery and see if the problem still occurs.
When I use a dripping atty the atty itself and the threading on top of the VAMO get warm, but below that the rest of it is very cool...
In case you were looking for specifics, I have a VAMO V3 to measure:
18650 mode: 5 1/2"
18350 mode: 4 1/4"
This is without any atomizer attached, obviously.
Personally I would advise purchasing a dripping atomizer. I use mine to test new juices and also to vape a different flavor for a while to cleanse my palate without having to fill up a clearomizer.
This is the one that I use and it's been working perfectly. I prefer the long barrel 1.5 ohm...
About $300 for me so far, but I'm pretty much set as far as hardware is concerned. I'm still trying different liquids to try to find a few that I really enjoy.
It sounds like a lot, but I have saved far, far more than $300 by not purchasing analogs since I quit smoking.
Are you sure you aren't blocking the air intake holes in the base of the EVOD? It sounds like you are creating a vacuum.
Also, do you only have one EVOD? Can you test those heads that are giving you problems in another unit?
Here it is. Start watching at about 8:30. A PBusardo Review - The Kanger ProTank - YouTube
As to the original topic, I'm using EVODs with 70/30 and 80/20 PG/VG juice (with a wick removed) and have never had any flooding. When refilling I do get a drip or two of condensation and eliquid from the...
What is the PG/VG ratio of your eliquid? Also, have you tried increasing the voltage a little over 4V to see if you get a better vape? I have a different setup, but on my variable wattage device I haven't found a juice yet that tastes and vapes well at 6W; I have a dessert juice that tastes best...
Pick up some wire and some wicking material and try to recoil your EVODs; apparently they are easy to rebuild and that will give you a glimpse into what RBAs are all about.
Like Alyssa above, most people who get into RBAs end up preferring that vaping experience over other delivery systems...
Bananas Gone Nuts by Mt. Baker Vapor. It smelled and tasted nothing like banana nut bread when I first got it, but 10 days later and it tastes fantastic. I think it might be one of my favorite morning vapes.
I'm not sure if it's just the way my tastebuds work, or if they haven't healed completely from smoking analogs, but so far I have the same issue. I'll start a new flavor, decide that I like it, and start vaping happily away. Then a few hours later I can't really taste the juice anymore. If I...
