    Never used a carto-tank, but for plain old cartos (I'm an 808 user, so bear that in mind) I've found Kanger to be very good quality, as well as the blanks V2 sells. Yeah, the V2s are pricey, but I love the soft rubber caps since they don't jolt my teeth if I put the ecig too far into my mouth.

    If you're getting taste changes, turn your devices down from 8w, seems a little high in my experience..I run my Vamo around 7w tops with dark juices, 6w or less with clear/light liquids, this is in a Vivi Nova so perhaps using a carto-tank it's different, but just my two cents on the matter.

    Rinsing the wick

    I rinse my Vivi Nova with hot tap water and let it dry overnight, fill with juice and fire it for a few seconds once the wicks are saturated again (without inhaling, mind you) and then use it as normal. Never had any issues, and it cleaned up some burnt juice from the wick/coil area nicely.
