I'm going to show my ignorance here but MOD's... high maintenance?

You may want to check out a Reo. It is a bottom feeding mod, so you just have to use an atomizer on top. Granted most of us Reo owners build our own coils, but with a Cisco spec atty, it gives a pretty awesome vape.

    Someone help a girl out!

Personally, I think the Protank heads are more of a difficult build than a simple dripper. However, good luck with your journey! I use eBay for wick and wire. You should get 32 gauge Kanthal if you are using a regulated device (Vamo, Zmax, eGo) or 28-30 gauge if you are using a mechanical mod...

    What to buy for RM2

I use the alligator clips to hold the wire and wick (if I am using silica). Then, I have my left hand free to wrap the coils. Plus, the alligator clips hold onto things enough I am able to pull the coils tight. With micro coils, I use the alligator clips to hold the drill bit. I then put the...

time for an upgrade, I think....

You could always buy a dripping atty to use when the cravings get bad. I actually got a nic buzz when I started using my Reo.

    Need advice on RBA.

The Kayfun is a good place to start as far as tank style attys, but most droppers are even simpler than the Kayfun. I only use my Reo now, so most of my current experience is with my RM2 and the BF Cyclone. However, prior to this, I liked my KFL and Ithaka style attys. I would suggest a...

In the market for a Mech mod.

Why don't you just spend the $50 on a nice RBA and some supplies. You don't need a mech to get the benefits of an RBA. It is an often misconstrued concept. When you are first getting the hang of building, regulated devices are actually better because they have safety devices built in.

Best type of cotton wick -- yarn / from cotton balls / pipe cleaners / etc.

Man I never thought of using pipe cleaners. The issue with cotton ones is that you can't dry burn them. If they had silica, you could torch them and oxidize the metal. They would be pretty easy to use. Anyways, using 100% sterile cotton balls and rolling them into a wick is not too difficult...

    What to buy for RM2

I am assuming you are using a mechanical Reo Grand and not a VV Reo Grand. I happen to like using silica wick, but I am in the minority. For my normal build, I just wrap about 5 or 6 wraps of 30 gauge Kanthal around a 1.5mm piece of Ekowool. I then push all of the wraps as closely together as I...

    Leather case for reo grand?

If you scroll down to the bottom, look under suppliers forum for Reos Mods. I don't know what makes the vape from a Reo so great. I had built drippers before and IDK, it just was not for me. I was really into the Kayfuns and the Ithaka style RBAs. I thought they tasted great and put out a lot...

    My vape experience so far...FRUSTRATING

As someone stated earlier in the thread, bottom-feeding mods are the way to go. Once I got my Reo up and running, it was like I had not truly experienced vaping with eGo batteries and clearomizers. Granted, I do build my own coils and that attributes a lot to my satisfaction with my experience...

2 Reo Grands, now the wait!

CRPease, definitely a great move. Good move on buying the Reomizers too. I never would have imagined the kind of vapor and flavor could come out of an APV before I got my Reo. I hope you didn't waste as much money as I did trying to get a 'better' vape. Mine Reo came in 2 business days. I have...

    Leather case for reo grand?

That would be sweet. I imagine a number of Reo owners would be interested. I'm not sure there is such a product. However, you do realize that 95% of APVs are made out of some sort of metal, right? Personally, I think most PVs are ugly. I have never held vaping gear in my hand and thought, wow...

    Question

Yes there are genesis style attys that the coil is on the bottom and juice is on top. It has really been a trend right now. The one that sticks out to me is the AIOS

    Cotton Wicking

It was sterile cotton that was in a sealed bag inside a box. Meijer sterile cotton. I bought it because i had heard that sterile cotton was good without much prep. It was vacuum sealed.

    Cotton Wicking

Alright, I have a Reo. I've been using Silica for my micro coils for a while. I decided to try cotton again, so I picked up some sterile cotton from my local Meijer. Thus far, I have tried several builds. Each one worked okay, but I had a weird taste. It was kind of cotton-ey. When I squonked a...

    coils

It is kind of a b---- when you first get started. You should give micro coils a shot. Maybe you will have more luck wrapping wire around a 1/16" drill bit. It will prolly be a bit easier to wrap around something hard.

Trying really hard to get taste/vape right on RM2. Please help me.

I am kind of weird in that I tend not to use micro coils. I usually take a 1.5mm piece of Ekowool and wrap a normal coil around it. Then I push all of the wraps close together. That way I get kind of the effect of a micro coil, but without having to use cotton or a drill bit. It still puts out...
