    You can use silica or cotton. Both have good and bad aspects to them. I would not recommend using a longer piece of wick. It does not seem to travel up to the coil generally.

    2 1.8 coils will give you very close to 0.9 ohms. Are you pretty experienced with building the Ithaka? There are a lot of moving parts with that atty, so I always found it difficult to wrap dual coils when I used to use the clone.

    I don't understand why you need a torch for micro coils... I just heat up my coils by attaching them to the atty and firing my device. I then use pliers to smoosh it together after. I suppose the torch could be handy, but it is not a necessity.
