    Noob coming from 2.8 ohm Cartos

    I'm in the same boat. I generally prefer 1.8-2 ohms. To build stuff higher than 2.5 ohms, you really should try to use 34 gauge Kanthal. I like 32 better because it is a bit sturdier. Sometimes when I use 34 gauge, it breaks when I try to pull it tighter.

    I agree with the above poster. You definitely don't have to use a blowtorch. I just use a lighter and burn some juice on my wicks. SS mesh is a total B---- to work with. However, in the end, it does taste better than any other wick setup.
