    click the button there "resouce monitor" ..once you get there maximize it and click on "average cpu" to sort the list to show the one using the most cpu and read its description

    weird..with only 10% usage ..you shouldn't see delayed typing ..thats either heat or malware ..most likely heat

    yeah =) hit these buttons at the same time ctrl + alt + delete . .should bring you to a blueish screen .. click "start task manager" ..when that comes up goto the "performance" tab tell me how much physical memory total , available, free .. and cpu usage percent

    the pc was 2 years old at the time ..its now 4 ..i like the new video card 100x better anyway =P

    also if its not heat related .. should make sure your anti virus is up to date and do a FULL scan overnight ..and it sounds like your bro is comp savvy ..have him check for dust for ya =P

    gotta do it every 3 months or so .. i went a year once and my video card fan clogged up..hit 99 degrees and died =P
