First thing I noticed when I got my grand was how much smaller it was than I thought it would be. That's what I would go for again if I had to.

I did something similar which helps with the drop I've noticed. I used. 006 brass feeler gauge but I doubled it over and rolled the tip for a larger striking surface. The only issue I've noticed and I don't know if you did as well dchest02 but it's not as springy so my button doesn't return all...
Trident is a bit easier to build and I enjoy the air flow control. But the rm2 is great for a single coil build. Still easy to build and the ceramic deck keeps it cooler than most rdas.

Picked up a cobalt bit at home Depot today. Still wouldn't catch and ended up breaking. I don't know what path to take now... It's pretty frustrating but I don't want to pay for the bf Cyclone just to use my afc cap on it if I don't have to.

Fuse is working well. The only problem I'm having is just space. My batteries are really tight with the fuse and spring base. I'll have to work something else out.

My bits haven't been up to the task. I will have to buy some better cutting bits soon and try again. Been through three now!

Another question custom. Did you drill the center post just straight down the middle of screw it that part out of the bottom? I'm having issues of the bit not catching onto anything. I'm using a cordless which is making things tough.

Cut the spring off the bottom piece holding it in and using a small piece to hold down the fuse and it's vaping great! Brass firing pin mod tomorrow!

So I bought a new bit when I picked up some fuses at the auto parts store and still does not want to cut any further down the center post. It's not stopping it's just not driving any further. So maybe this bit doesn't have the cutting power.
For the center post of the Cyclone are people...
When I started hand drill I should have said cordless. I probably need a new but as well. The center post of the Trident seems mounted in an insulator so maybe I can cannibalize the igo-L further.

So I ruined my Trident... The center screw broke off where it is split so I have to figure out a way to make it usable again...
And my hand drill doesn't seem to have the power to drill through the Cyclones center post. This morning isn't going so well thus far. I'll have to try again later...
Good that's the smallest bit I have. I'm a little nervous about it but after a test run on another rda or two I know it'll be fine.

Where do you buy your brass shim? I looked at home Depot today when I picked up a dremel to mod so attys and no one knew what I was talking about.

So this thread has been dead for a month now but I am curious if this is the way everyone is still going? I'm coming from a sub ohm and tinkering background so I'm hoping to catch up and contribute in the future. Untill robs sub ohm kit of course.

When you have them like that...
I Should've clarified that with tips though the important thing was width of opening. But I keep my holes at wide open pretty much always.

Switch drip tips. I've found that with the large holes I've drilled in my patriot and nimbus that certain drip tips cause them to whistle.
