    Thanks for the reply. No I haven't done this yet. I want a setup around .7Ω or .8Ω and am finding it hard to do with 30 gauge kanthal. I wasn't aware that nichrome gives lower Ω's. I have some 32 gauge laying around I might play with... do you know where I can find some nichrome in 30 gauge...
