Smoktech Vmax Owners - tips, tricks and quirks

Loved the Vmax, until today when my 2nd one stopped working. 1st one started firing all by itself, 2nd one was fine, then started resetting with every button push. As much as I love these things, I have to step back for a while. Both lasted about a month, and that just ain't going to cut it...

I can get close to 6 hours out of it. Cotton has been working well in it as well. Hope they don't take too gosh awful long to get to you TC!

    FYI: Smoktech making Genesis-style atty

I have seen them advertised as like 5, but I am guessing it is closer to 3. Next time I fill it I will measure if someone else hasn't by then. EDIT:I am going to say 2.5ml maybe. I just sucked it out and it came to the 2ml graduation, and it was not quite full.

You Know You're Chain Vaping When...

Happened to me yesterday.... When you are in the bathroom at work and a co-worker, who didn't know you were in there, thanks you for the 'air freshener'.

Thanks for that heads up Lavaca5, I should have one of those around to try. I also have been thinking about drilling it out just a hair and pressing in a top ring from an old CE4 and chopping down the screw on tip. Maybe even drill that center ridge out. That would also work for me. I'll let you...

DJ, CCV is an excellent vendor, as you will fully discover. The eFests are my new face battery, and the i4 was an excellent choice in a charger. What are you going to use the 18500's in? Yeah Wacky Warriors was one of the first in the area, I want to say they started around 85 or earlier. I...

The CE9 has been doing an excellent job as a dripper, post modification. The removal of the center section opened it up nicely for a slightly arched wick. Now if I can work out a better way to hold my drip tip I will be set. Salky

Mine never gets very hot, even when I have it loaded up. It does fine on all my Nimh batteries (except the 4.8v) as well. Could be a connection issue, or maybe it has to be configured a certain way, like the i4 has to for the small litiums. Call Andrew up and he'd be more than happy to help...

    Questions? Ask GP!

If it is taking an extended amount of time, it may not be leaking, it could be condensation on the metal piece collecting and dripping down. Or it could be that the wick is not sealing perfectly at the cup. Sometimes fluffing them up where they exit the center tube helps. And, just in...

Wacky Warriors was the one. I know my buddies' oldest brother took over the fields and the dad ran the distribution for a while. I have no idea what has happened to them since, it has been a long time since I talked to him or went out ballin'! Still loving the i4 BTW. Great charger. Highly...

No problem. I wish there was a place where we could see what profession other posters held; you never know if you are giving needed advice or just preaching to the choir! Man, I haven't messed with paintballing in years. Back when I was in late elementary/early jr. high, one of my buddies'...

How about VStars? Well, I have just about finished tinkering with my CE9. I gave up on the tank system and just converted it to a dripper. Works pretty darn good though. Had to drill a hole and have temporarily inserted a piece of carto condom to hold my drip tip til I work something else out...

    Mod with Safety issues???

Thanks for the info as well Roly. I just found it odd that there was not anything but pictures and ideas on the page; usually if it is a page under construction there is a link to some sort of info, or that info is placed on the main page, no matter how brief. Plus, whois shielding is used in...

Alphastar isn't bad. I was trying to come up with a bird-based name, maybe the DodoStar? :)

I usually slot where the hole is. It takes a bit of tinkering to get the slot a near-perfect size, but it isn't too bad. I actually have some I slotted that I use only for thicker juices since I went a bit too far. Also, not sure if you have read this, after you slot hold the cutting bit at an...
