That is strange. Is the post hitting the side of the suspect plate? Sounds like it may have just been a bad thread job from the get-go. All the plate does (electronically) is complete the ground side of the coil, so it could be shorting out. Maybe try checking resistance with a (known) good coil...
The plate not threading down on to the tank shouldn't cause it not to operate, but may cause a leaking issue. You may just have a bad coil. Have you switched the coil assemblies out?

Yes, cheaper does not mean as-good-as-quality. But I have given inexpensive kits to a bunch of people (to help save my pocketbook), and most of them have had good luck with the devices to at least get them started. I have had one battery fail (within a week) out of the cheap kits I have bought...
FastTech is inexpensive. I personally have had no problems with 'copy-cat' Novas. Can't tell them apart from the originals (at a glance) and have not had any leaks.
On a eGo regulated device, I try to keep my resistance at 2.0 ohms or lower. A 1.5 works very well on a regulated battery.

I think it is as it is with many things, not so bad in moderation, bad for extended amounts of time. Just make sure it is not baking for any extended amounts of time. Some people use a bit of heat to accelerate the steeping time, as long as it is not for any excessive length. The heat...
But this is my fave. It may not count, due to no sign of 'actively vaping', but the photo kills me every time. I am holding my e-cig, but look at my son abusing the mailbox!
Thanks for the fun contest, I look forward to seeing all the other pictures!

Maybe nothing.
Sometimes when you fill the BCC devices, the action of screwing on the base causes a pressure differential that will force fluid out, with the path of least resistance being the wick. If you take it apart, make sure the tube on the top section is clear, and slowly thread the...
Very easy. Just solder a lead to the outside, and then a lead into the center (most bare 510 connectors have a hollow-center middle pin). If you are going to be building something anyway, might as well take the time and save yourself a few pennies. Plus, you can determine the wire gauge...
I am not going to argue for the Provari or anything else. Just going to state my opinion on stuff and stuff alone.
I bought a Provari. A blem chrome one. It is nice. Well made, good warranty, good performer. Since I have owned it I had 2 Vmax's, which I liked a bit more, but they both died at...
