Todd, I loved the review. "Overlooked" may have been poor wording on my part. My thought was that just because it is sent with certain resistances in it, it could probably be rebuilt in different formats, which I was hoping for in the follow up. Personally, I probably wouldn't use every coil... -

Just one question...did you try anything other than the iclear 30? I believe they have two 4ohm coils in them. My guess would be that one of the coils popped, leaving you with a single 4ohm. 4 ohms at 6 volts would be 9 watts. You may have simply hit the voltage limit which why you got no... -

Yeah, RiP has recommended silica rba's because they're easy to clean and/or rebuild. I am still loving it on my igo-l. If its the only juice I use I can dry burn once a day and have the coil last several days to a week. It makes sense that a dripping atty would hold up well also. Have you tried...- ThaHealer

Yes, that is right. The same coil with 30 gauge would have less resistance. Various gauge wires have other properties that differentiate them as well (response time, heat generated,etc). I've got a similar coil with 30 gauge that came out around 2 ohms I think. It performs great, the only issue is that the thicker your wire the more difficult it is to squeeze it between the grommet and center pin.- ThaHealer
