i am vaping off the magnum magneto...
its a non teloscoping 18650 magneto with the AGI in genny mod (solid brass positive post mod) and a 2.5 in long drip tip..
its HUGE !!!!
right now i am working on the positive post for the top cap, i plan on making a brass post for the top cap also that slides over the post for the botton base... it will be hollow and threaded on top for a thumb screw.
i have got a bit of work making a prototype and asembling it and making sure...
now screw the center post on
now reasemble the agi with glass and top base, as you screw it down it will seat snugly and press the brass positive pin down a little till it seats, file the 510 flush if there is too mutch positive post hanging down.
now your done ! no more spring ! no more...
the materials needed
cut a 1.1 in sect..
round the nose and trim it to about 1.04in
press the old steel pin out of the base and press in the new brass one round nose up.
be shure the 510 connector is sitting the way you want it, it may neeed to be trimmed down.
after doing a lot of work and posting a lot of pics i realized i put this in the wrong forum section LOL so here it is all you genny guys the REAL agi fix ...
link to post in modding forum ... its a complete fix for the agi ... no more wire in the spring ! this is a real brasss rod fix...
LOL.............. after all that i still just took it apart and i am useing it soley as a dripper lol lol lol.....i just love a good dripper !!!
this mod was to show you guys how easy this genny is to fix PROPERLY with only simple hand tools and a 1/8th rod 1.04 in long
this is the most...
also if your unsatified with the size of the wick hole or your a cotton guy you can drill out the wick hole and retap it for an 8/32nds set screw, 8/32nds is a tad larger than 3mm and you will still be able to add the set screw and convert bact to a dripper if you tap it !
ok ok now you should be done and left with this.... a perfectly fixed AGI !!!
the 1/16th drill bit was to drill out your air hole ! lol i forgot to add that in but you can do it now if you feel nessasary ....
now screw it on your mod and adjust the mods 510 center screw to your new post and...
ok now that the post is out you need to press in the new brass or copper post in....
now thread on your center tube, and make shure the new post is all the way pushed into the base so its flush with the 510 connector
now put on the glass and then begin to thread on the top and as...
ok this is not your typical "shove a wire in the spring fix for the AGI... this is a compete overhaul of the bottom base and positive center post and i will show you how to do it....the agi is only 10$ at 101vapes right now and this fix only cost 3$ so for 13$ you can have an amazing genny ...
this was done with a spare base i have sitting around, i will do a short thread and video of how to with minimal tools tomorrow when my new AGI arives.
you need
1 a 1/8th copper, aluminum, brass rod... the metals are listed in order of conductivity... copper is best aluminum is second and...
here is the brass rod fix
1/8th brass rod or aluminum bolth conduct very well, a copper rod would be best
cut it 1.25 in long
press it in the agi bottom base leaving 1/4 hanging out
now assemble the agi fully and as the cap screws on the rod will press down to the size it needs to be
now...
well to make this easy ... lol just replace that post with a brass rod thats .125 in diamiter and cut to length. the hole is .123 so a rod thats .125 or .126 will press in and make a tight seal.
the stock pin is .125 so if you can find a brass rod thats .125 just cut it to size and press it in...
i just posted it .. all you realy need to do is look at the base plate, you will see there is a post press fit into it, this post has a thin top for the spring to slide over, this post will press out of the base and leave the base with a delrin plastic gromit with a hole in it behind, all you...
here is the mod...spring and steel post delete...
the base with spring removed
this is the post you want to replace for a longer brass one
here is the post removed, all you do is push it out
it can be replaced with a brass sexbolt like this or a brass screw cut to length so it fits to...
i had the agi before and it was stolen allong with my mech mod.....
the fix is simple.... first you drill the air hole to 1/16 or 3/32
next you teflon tape the threads
drill out the wick hole to 8-32nd and tap it for a set screw
where the spring should go in genny mode....... pull the whole...
PG has its part...
i vape 100% vg now when i use rda's but i still keep abottle of halo around for my tanks ( protank, fogger exe) the thin pg based liquid just seems to absorb into the wick faster and works better in tanks.
dont worry about flavor LOL if you use a quality vendor your liquid...
with 28 guage you need to make your coils below the 1.5 ohm marker ! anything 1.5 or higher will take a long time to heat up due to its thickness. the thicker the wire the slower it heats ... well to a degree... you see a thicker wire thats 1ohm will heat way faster than a thinner wire thats 1...
lol the AGI at 101 vapes is less money than the igo w !!! so for 13$ you can get a 20mm igo w or for 10$ you can get the 22mm AGI and use it as a dripper...... the top caps look exactly the same, the only differance is the igo w is 20mm and has 3 posts and the agi is 22mm and has 2 post and a...
