Paps V3 top cap or Paps X? I have heard reports that over tightening the Gpin into the insulator can cause the Gpin to make contact with the top cap causing a short. That would be my best guess... -

That was definitely caused by a dead short somewhere in your setup. I would advise determining the cause before continuing normal use... -
