long looong 12 hour shift at work.. and i get to do the same thing tomorrow.
I'm not as fast at baths as some of the other workers, I guess I just need more practice.
But I will take as much time as I need to to make sure that the residents are clean, and more importantly, dry.

agreed! unfortunately at a care center you have to choose between being understaffed (people don't like to be called at 4:30 AM, and the less staff the less care the residents can get) or bringing in sick staff..

yes I work with the elderly, but at my work they WANT you to come in regardless of whether you're sick or not.
I have been forced to come in even though i was throwing up not an hour earlier.
A little messed up? yes. could one of the elderly die? yes. is it illegal? I'm not...

called in sick to work today. every time i moved i felt worse.
they were mad, buuutt it's not like i can magically feel better just because someone's upset.
as a matter of fact, I'm upset I'm sick.
LD, I think you can make it with 3.8 left on your battery.

it's not exactly leaving things, it's more like doing things.
For example, I had a list of 11 people to bathe. I would get to go home around 2:30 if I were finished on time. I got done around 5. I was so ready to leave, I forgot to empty the garbages in the bath/spa room and empty the laundry...
