The 19e look dull and had different finishes out of the box. I brushed it (on a drill press), but it oxidized back to a dull shine pretty quick.
I ended up polishing and sealing it, the brass seems to hold it's color and sheen for now.
So I disassembled the #19 brass/copper. I have to say that it was harder than disassembling the #19v2. I dunno if they used a different type of glue, but it was harder to remove and it's a different color
First, I boiled it in water for 30 minutes.
Second I soaked it in 99% isopropyl

Yeah I got a couple of a 510 connectors for the top of the tank-o-meter, to check voltage underload.
So you could battle your friends on who has the lowest voltage drop!
I'll get to it one day.
I guess i'm gonna hit the whole mod with some scotchbrite after i take the bottom cap apart, and bench-grind the cap flush.
Awwww Damnt!
I can't justify the purchase of lathe =( for just a bolt.
One day... when i'm raking in the cash.
^That is beautiful.
where'd you get the brass bolt?
I got my 19e, and the nzonic cap came with a shiny brass finish, compared to the matte brush the rest of the mod has
Im on the preorder group 2 on vaportek, it's still in processing for me. Haven't receive any email updates either.
is 6-32 the real thread size for the delrin in the top cap? I like that thumb screw
I'm still kinda new around here, hope i posted this in the right section.
For on-the-go battery voltage testing for mech mod users. A cheap, fun, and easy project.
I basically cut open a carto, soldered wires to the postive and negtive terminals inside. I than soldered it to voltage meter...
I noticed you're from Cali, I was wondering where'd you pick up that slottted flat-head 8/32 screw. I went to lowes and homedepot, and couldn't find anyway (only phillips). I'd rather buy a few screws in person, than a 100 screws on amazon.
I took the brass hot spring from the top cap of the sig 19v2, stretched it out to get the feather-soft feel, and cut it to size.
I made it feel softer to press than the titan, with a third of the throw distance.
Gonna have to use the tap and die method and put in an adjustable brass screw to...
UPDATE: May not be a good idea... Rubber grips the button and sometimes loosens it off when using the button lock
I was using the magnet switch method with the plastic washer, but I wanted to get rid of some voltage drop by dropping the magnets.
So while i was looking for rubber o rings to...
