    Mine gets warm at 0.9 ohms when I chain vape. The real question is does it get hot in any one particular spot? The switch area is particularly indicative of a bad connection. If it gets warm, evenly warm, I'd say it's doing what (you) intended it to do... with a 0.5 ohm coil ;)
