Here's the thing, though - too many folks go to see a doctor and say daft things like "I think it may be to do with my <insert coincidental happenstance here>" instead of simply describing the symptoms and letting the doctor ask the right questions. that's right - you decide what wattage you want to run at. It sets the voltage and amperage automatically to give the wattage you've told it to provide, based on the resistance of the atty. So you could set it to 8 watts, and it will do the rest for you you don't need to know the... -

You tell it what watts you want. It looks at the atty, measures its resistance, and then sets the voltage and amperage to give the watts you want - so yes, it does automatically see the resistance of the atty and then set the watts.
