Quite, tristankane - the Darwin scores in VV/VW/VA terms because you set the "sweet spot" for a given atty type, and it performs as you expect. I run both types - stacked and single battery, with both types of VV... in my experience, the stacked battery jobs I have wimp out much quicker, and the voltage available can never exceed what the batteries will provide natively. With the single battery buck/boost circuits, I get clean and... -

I'd ask the question, though, at what wattage are you running? 7+volts maybe, but what resistance are the atomisers you use? even a 3 ohm atty will pull over 18 watts of power, and draw just south of 2.5 amps - and that's heavy duty stuff - very hot and if you're stacking two batteries, you're... -

Hmmm... I'm not a great fan of stacked batteries - cos stacking two 18650s makes for a very long unit. The circuitry in the provari doesn't take up a lot of room and works very well, and the same can be said of the Darwin, but the notion of building it into an end-cap assembly with the voltage... -

I'm happy as a pig in, erm, mud - for the moment, she's got one of my 2010 aluminium GGTSes, but an SS will have to be procured, and the UFS to match. They stay shiny!!! -
