& @dpsin... Wow... Being an inveterate "try it you might like it" kinda bloke, I wound a system up to 13.6 watts (two 16430s @ 3.7 under load fresh off the charger into a 4 ohm 510) and it was mega hot for me - blisteringly hot! So hot it hurt, really... Must do some temperature tests... -

This interests me - when you say you're vaping at 12 - 15 watts, I'm intrigued as to what kit you're using to get to this, and how you've worked it out, only because at a true 3.7 volts you'd need an atomiser of under 1 ohm, and at 6 volts, you'd be using LR atties. That plus it would be... -

It's entirely wattage setting dependent, assuming a standard voltage atty/carto. That said, I'm getting very similar run-times and juice usage out of AW IMR 18650s as I was getting using a 1.5ohm atty in the UFS, and a much more consistent vape. For a large value of "much more consistent". -

Hmm... yes, there are two batteries in the Darwin, but they're wired in parallel, not series, so they're starting from 3.7 volts, just the same. -

The maths on all of this looks fine, until you factor i the drain ability of the batteries. 16340s are likely to be be 2C batteries, which means if they're rated at 800mAH (and what it says on the label is no necessarily true) then 1.6 amps is the best a stacked pair will put out at their stated... -
