    Check the +/- posts without a kanthal wrap,it should read about 4v with button pushed.Than try it with the coil wrapped,if it still works put the cap on and try it.[Process of elimination.]If it doesn't work with the cap on clean the threads,this happened to me on the big one,never on the mini...
