Kick clone aka Sigelei K show and tell

Thanks for the mini-review, I've got two coming from a Co-op & looking forward to doing a side-by-side comparison (I have two Kicks currently, one in a Bombshell like you, and another that I switch around between various mechanicals). You mentioned that it's just a millimeter or so too big for...

Welcome. Get your minimum posts made & head straight to the DIY threads...TONS of great info & recipes to roll your own juices. It's not difficult to do once you get the hang of a few basic principles, and quite enjoyable & can save you loads of money. Speaking of which... DO NOT under ANY...

    fc-2000 porous ceramic wick

These are not the Droids you are looking for (or the ceramics). Though technically its a ceramic material, the Nextel is basically a form of woven Silica, like most of the other silica wicks out there (silica is form of ceramic)....we are talking about an entirely different ceramic here....and...

    fc-2000 porous ceramic wick

+1 on that. The ceramics have a little break-in time when you first start using them. The tighter you get your coils on the wick (hot-wrap, electrical annealing, etc), the shorter that time will be. Give them a little time...you will be well rewarded.:2cool:

    fc-2000 porous ceramic wick

Sounds like you have a hot spot, usually from the top wire to the positive post (the "metallic taste" is a giveaway). Just pull out your juice with a syringe, clean out the tank and rinse the wick/coil with water, and do some dry-burns until all the gunk is burned off the coils & wick - it won't...

    Pipe tobacco and Cigar extraction

...especially when you consider how much extract you can get out of each cigar. On average, I'm getting about 30+ml of pure extract out of an average Robusto cigar.... at a 10% dilution (or less), that's a LOT of great-tasting juice! I also find that I'm not adding any additional nic juice to my...

    My Boba's clone

Agree Mr Buffalo... He may be referring tho the flavor of PG itself. I also primarily vape VG because it produces better vapor, and I just like the flavor of it better.....even though PG is a better flavor carrier, I generally use as little as I can get away with. A little PG helps a bit with...

    fc-2000 porous ceramic wick

A technical term...if you are around Geeks, you hear it all the time. Means "screwed up", FUBAR, messed up. Specifically used to describe technology that is broken.. I think it originated with the Muppets Swedish Chef "...Bork Bork Bork..."

    My Boba's clone

It's not a matter of PG or VG, it depends a lot on the flavorings used by the vendor. Most "perfumy" notes will generally go away as the juice steeps. Most juice you buy online is mixed to order, so they need a little time to de-gas & settle down. A quick tip is to take the tops off of new...

    My Boba's clone

I can't figure out whats up with Alien Visions. They were down for almost two months to try to fix their security issues and build a new website(I got caught up in the CC fraud mess myself). They reopened on Monday, and had all kinds of problems. I was one of the first to actually get on the...

The Next Big thing.... Porous Ceramic Wicks

Dan; looks intriguing... two questions; How's the flavor, and when are you putting a Ceramic wick in it :)

    fc-2000 porous ceramic wick

Looks like a nice little RBA for ceramics...but difficult to find in the States. I'm assuming the cotton wool is what feeds the wick? The only RBA I take out of the house with me are my DID clones. They are not finicky at all, and pretty rugged....and produce a very nice vape, but I usually...

DIY Master Techniques - Flavor Add-on's (EM, VW, BW, MTS, ACV, ect)

I haven't tried it myself yet, but planning to pick some up over the weekend & give this a shot in a couple of my DIYs You can find a nasal wash for babies called Cleanoz Saline solution at CVS pharmacies that is STERILE and has NO PRESERVATIVES.... Ingredients: Active Ingredient: Sodium...

The Next Big thing.... Porous Ceramic Wicks

Interesting idea, but it wouldn't get hot enough to burn the gunk off (lamps burn with a "soft" flame). A good dry burn actually does the job pretty well at least 90% of the time....unless you run exceptionally gooey juices.

    fc-2000 porous ceramic wick

Just the usual TopFin bubble stone from Petsmart. Same as Dan & most others seem to be using. If you can keep from breaking them, they seem to last forever....I have a few wicks that I made a couple of months ago that are still running perfectly.

    fc-2000 porous ceramic wick

I just got three last Thursday, but my home-grown fishtsicks are still doing great, and I don't want to tear any of my RBAs down right now - they are all running just terrific. Just a dry-burn every-other tankful keeps the coils & wicks running like I just wrapped them (maybe better). If I...

The Next Big thing.... Porous Ceramic Wicks

One important point I forgot to mention; when you place your open bottles of juice in the ultrasonic cleaner, make sure that the water level is about even with, or just below the fluid level in the bottles, otherwise the bottles can float & fall over during the cycle....they dance around a bit...

The Next Big thing.... Porous Ceramic Wicks

Steve; Pretty simple really.. I just run my new juices through two or three thirty-minute cycles with the tops off (max time on my Ultrasonic) and that's roughly equivalent to three-days to a week of steeping, depending on the juice. If you have a heated cleaner, it works even better. You don't...

The Next Big thing.... Porous Ceramic Wicks

Boiling for about 5 min in DISTILLED water (twice with a change of water in between) will do the job. You just need a small amount of water - just enough to cover the wicks...all you are doing is getting all the loose grit out of them. The ultrasonics are great, but not necessary.... but they...

Oh my gawd...its so BIG !

For those not familiar with what people are talking about, here's a side-by-side comparison of a Vamo with different configurations: Left is in 18350 mode, not really that large, even with a Vivi tank. Center is the Vamo in 18650 mode and an RSST RBA - rather intimidating to some, and a little...
