    My Boba's clone

Yep, I've fiddled with the original recipe in a variety of ways (varying flavorants and percentages), and it's a great base for making a Boba-like juice. While most of the variants have not hit the "magic clone" button, they are great vapes in their own right. Part of the fun of DIY are your...

    fc-2000 porous ceramic wick

After I drilled it out to 1/8 inch, I just took my hand drill with the 1/8 bit and just tilted it slightly in both directions to slightly enlarge the wick hole (toward the area that had the most metal left - there's not much clearance on the center post and outer edge on the AGA). You don't...

How many different flavors do you consistently vape?

All of the smaller batteries will degrade as they discharge. If you want longevity and consistent vaping, go with a Variable Voltage or Variable Wattage mod (or a mechanical with a Kick). For around $40-50 (a Vamo for instance), you can enter an entirely new world of vaping. You can adjust the...

    fc-2000 porous ceramic wick

I'm afraid not...it's Stainless steel. It's pretty tough stuff, even will a good drill bit and drill stand .... You could always take it to a machine shop, but I have no idea what they would charge... One more thought...If you know any teachers, they should be able to do it in a metal shop...

    fc-2000 porous ceramic wick

The "1.75" is the length (correct length for the AGA), but the wicks are all 1/8 inch diameter now as far as I know. You will have to drill the AGA-T2 wick hole to 1/8 if you want to use them. I drilled mine and there's room, though it pretty tight... If you don't want to mess with it, get an...

The Next Big thing.... Porous Ceramic Wicks

Dan; Is this the 20 X 15mm Pyrex tube you made with the Teflon-wrapped inner post? Are you using the "baking sheet" gaskets, or the new silicon washers? Looks like a winner....

Anyone else get nervous when driving and vaping that people will think you are smoking something else?

Unfortunately, with the current Nanny State mentality, this is no longer true in many areas of the country.... Sad....

    My Boba's clone

If it's like batches I've made, the flavors will change as it steeps (just like Boba's does). Over time, mine have gone from tasting like pure honey (early on), to chocolate milk, to raisins, and finally settles down after about two weeks into a nice complex tobacco-y mix that changes subtly all...

    A very ...... Vapers Rant

That was fun....:pop: Why did he even bother? All you have to do is post a measly 5 times so you can join the real forums and there is more information on this site than just about anywhere else on the web..... Oh well....his loss. No harm no foul.

Anyone else get nervous when driving and vaping that people will think you are smoking something else?

I personally don't care what people think (I'm an Old Fart ...you get to a point in you life where that crap just isn't important anymore). If it bothers you, just get an e-pipe....no-one will look twice.

The Next Big thing.... Porous Ceramic Wicks

Getting back to Boden's air-hole question; I used to like a pretty tight draw (I used cartos/tanks for a long time, so I got used to it), but with my RBAs, I now usually open mine up to about 1.2 -1.3 mm with a tapered rat-tail file (mouse-tail?). They just seem to work better that way. I've...

The Next Big thing.... Porous Ceramic Wicks

I think the issue is that Boden has some business partners in this enterprise who are putting the clamp on him. Mr Boden has always been very free with information/techniques in the past, but his compadres are telling him to keep mum until the White Wick is available. It's even obvious in the...

    My Boba's clone

Agreed. #7 is damn close, but there's a little sumpin-sumpin missing. The "front end" flavors are definitely there, it's just like Boba's, but there's a "back end" missing...it tastes a bit thin....if that makes sense. The real Boba's is mouth-filling & rich - almost "chewy" in some respects...

The Next Big thing.... Porous Ceramic Wicks

I've never tried the hemp wicks (will that affect my security clearance? :glare:) , but that looks like a great idea!

    fc-2000 porous ceramic wick

I still use the fishsticks I made a while ago in all but two of my RBAs, they just seem to last forever if you don't break them. They other two have the non-slotted FC2000s in them, and they only seem to work marginally better than my home-brew Fishsticks, but they are well broken in now and...

    Pipe tobacco and Cigar extraction

I'm an avid cigar smoker and I've been lurking this thread for a little while. I gave the 5-second PG extraction method a shot with a Chateau Fuente Sungrown out of one of my boxes (I go through a box of those a month - one of my favorite cigars). I did a 10% mix in 100% VG and ran it in the...

    fc-2000 porous ceramic wick

From all the feedback I've read, I think Mr. Boden has already found the Holy Grail of ceramic wicks: The BD13 "White Wick" .... we are now just waiting on availability.

    fc-2000 porous ceramic wick

A nice little trick is to wrap some SS mesh around the bottom of the ceramic to make up the length. Dsmooch had a post about it: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/rebuildable-atomizer-systems/379380-fc-2000-porous-ceramic-wick-143.html Post # 1430 ....works like a champ :)
