The Next Big thing.... Porous Ceramic Wicks

Just passing something along - IBTanked does custom cut Borosilicate Glass tubes (Pyrex) at a relatively reasonable price that would work perfectly in this application. They are available in various diameters, colors and even way-cool patterns! With the silicon seals that Dan found, a glass RSST...

The Next Big thing.... Porous Ceramic Wicks

Looks good Dan! I'm assuming you are going to use a couple of small O-rings on the center-post (top & bottom) to eliminate any potential leakage since the juice will now contact the center post? Just wondering. I had some slight leakage down the positive screw post with the new RSSTs (with the...

    My Boba's clone

Thank you sir! I already have that one, so just waiting on the other ingredients from ECiG-Xpress and I'm golden :)

The Next Big thing.... Porous Ceramic Wicks

I thought that someone chimed in that they had been running Pluid for three days on a RSST without any problems so far. If it can stand up to Pluid, it should be OK with just about any juice. I have three RSSTs, and the tanks on the last two I received are made of a different material than the...

    My Boba's clone

Thanks for all the hard work Mr. SloHand...looks great! Quick question...Flavor Art doesn't seem to have a Banana Nut Bread flavoring (I've searched for it extensively - no joy).. Could it be from another vendor?? I'm ordering all the stuff for the Gorilla Juice clone (Love GJ), but can't...

Is it just me? Kanger T3...

Yeah, I've tried rebuilding them with cotton also. It does work quite well, but I don't particularly like the taste of cotton (yes, you can taste it, even after its been boiled). Some people don't mind that flavor, but to me it makes my juices just taste "off". I'm playing around with a small...

The Next Big thing.... Porous Ceramic Wicks

Yep, I tried it yesterday for the first time with Ribbon Kanthal and a new FC2000 wick - worked spectacularly well. Unfortunately, the FC2000 came without grooves (...... me off), but it still works better than my home-brew fishsticks. After the electrical annealing, hand-wrapping the ribbon was...

The Next Big thing.... Porous Ceramic Wicks

When I use the pre-wrap method (Petar-K) I heat the wire with a torch or lighter a couple of times until it glows a bright orange color. When it cools, it will be much softer & a lot less springy. I then use a 1/8 inch diameter steel punch as a mandrel to wrap the coils (you can also use a drill...

The Next Big thing.... Porous Ceramic Wicks

    Here's a quick & dirty reference for Round to Ribbon Kanthal wire that I've found very handy . Someone posted it a while back (sorry can't remember who): 32awg = 0.3 mm x 0.1 mm 30.5awg = 0.4 mm x 0.1 mm 30.25awg = 0.5 mm x 0.1 mm 30awg =...

    Rsst and battery life

A low Ω coil will drain a battery pretty quickly....You didn't mention which MOD you are running it on, but I'd suggest going to an 18650 battery MOD at least, but even then, don't expect more than about 4 hours of average vaping out of it at the most. Low Ω coils will drain a battery very...

New VAMO, lots of questions...puh-lease help!

Just want to correct this; Mode # 2 is RMS mode - the default and recommended setting is RMS. RMS provides a more accurate voltage output. Keep pressing either of mini buttons more than 10sec until LCD screen displays N01 or N02. If you see N01, it means that AVG starts. If you see N02, it means...

Can any atomizer handle my Mocha Java Juice??

An other alternative is to get a small Rebuild-able atomizer like a DID clone. Very easy to clean (just rinse off the wick & coil with water & dry-burn the gunk off the coils). You can find any number of them for under $20 that have everything you need to get going (stainless mesh & Kanthal...

The Next Big thing.... Porous Ceramic Wicks

That's basically what the RSST has (sleeved SS bushing around the wick hole). The problem you run into with most other RBAs is real-estate - you barely have enough room to drill the hole to 1/8 inch to begin with, so putting in a sleeve (no matter how thin) is counter-productive - you're right...

    fc-2000 porous ceramic wick

Been there myself Steve. Robin Williams had some great lines regarding divorce (Two divorces cost him over $40 million): "Instead of getting married again, I’m going to find a woman I don’t like and just give her my house" "Alimony comes from the Latin word meaning to rip a man’s genitals...

    My Boba's clone

Yeah, you could theoretically do chromatography on Boba's to find the ingredients, but you would then have to do the same for EVERY potential ingredient in order to match them (plus the ingredients themselves would change over time - oxidation, degeneration, etc. - they are not stable). I...

The Next Big thing.... Porous Ceramic Wicks

If possible, I'd recommend enlarging the wick hole. Though it's pretty easy to sand down the ceramic wicks to fit, if you want to eventually run the FC2000 wicks (or any grooved ceramic - I have a feeling this will become standard on all of them eventually), if you sand too much off the surface...
