Sigelei #19 Tips, tricks, and DON'Ts

The Copper Washer in the picture is used to shorten the throw - the wire mod is used to eliminate the inherent problem with the conductivity of the switch (which causes the "hot button" & "Sparking" problems). Your method is another way to accomplish what the wire mod does. My copper washer was...

Quick question: How did you get the fire button off? I've tried unscrewing the collar on mine but No Joy....

The Next Big thing.... Porous Ceramic Wicks

The Odysseus, Ithaka, and Penelope (as well as many other atty designs, including most drippers) all have a straight-through mouthpiece and they really don't have a problem. As a matter of fact, if you close the juice control on any of them, you can drip directly on the coils through the...

Sigelei #19 Tips, tricks, and DON'Ts

Here you go: This reduces the throw of the switch by the thickness of the washer. I picked up a box of assorted Copper Washers at Harbor Freight for a couple of bucks. You can also use a brass washer if you want, but copper is a far-better conductor than brass, and since this is your...

I got one last week also - I haven't had the "shocking" experience, and I use a stainless tip, but I noted that my Scar RDA had a somewhat "metallic" taste when I used it on the #20. I whipped out a piece of wire & touched it to the button & the atty - yep, it fired. I sent off an email to John...

    My Boba's clone

No problem: I've used both the shot glass method & the longer week-long steep method and the results were almost identical, so I just go with the "quick & dirty" shot glass method now because its so fast and easy. The shot-glass method is quite simple, and there are no definite volumes of the...

    My Boba's clone

Personally, I think a lot of the sweetness in Bobas comes from one of the tobacco extracts. All my cigar extracts come out surprisingly sweet, even without any EM added....and I've only extracted cigars I actually smoke - 100% pure tobacco hand-rolled cigars (no flavorings). Cigars (and the...

    Hercules Rebuildable Atomizer (Ithaka Clone)

There's a "Sweet Spot" with the Ithakas when it comes to juice control - if you over-juice them, you will loose vapor & flavor - you are flooding the coil & cuts its efficiency and ability to produce vapor (flavor). If you under-juice them, you will get a slightly burnt or slight metallic...

Its a Delrin ring that isolates the top plate from the head. If you look at the pics of the disassembled head, you can see where it sits in a recess on top of the head under the 510 plate/post, but its thicker than the recess, so the plate floats on top of it. The way the switch works, the...

    Sigelei Mechnical Mods

Got the new Sigelei #20 V3 today, so I thought I'd tear it apart and do a quick show & tell. First off; it works VERY well, and it looks like they fixed all the problems with the early ones: Pros: Adjustable center pin, flush top mount, better "safety" ring on the fire button (recessed too)...

Amazing!. Gdeal is becoming the Michelangelo of wicks...I wouldn't be surprised if his next creation looks something like this:

    Hercules Rebuildable Atomizer (Ithaka Clone)

Yes...partially. You should be able to adjust the juice control at any time, even after its fully assembled.... unless you tightened it down too much. The mouthpiece should just be run down to the point where it comes into contact with the ring that holds the ceramic cup assembly, not cranked...

    Hercules Rebuildable Atomizer (Ithaka Clone)

Are you opening up the juice control? Twist the mouthpiece counterclockwise about one full turn or so, then adjust from there, depending on the thickness of your juice, it may take more turns to expose more of the wick to the juice. When your vapor starts diminishing, turn it back clockwise a...

    My Boba's clone

I had the same problem until I started using syringe filters after the cotton-ball filtration (forgot to mention that step)...they get the particulate matter out & help with coil-gunking a lot. Amazon has them (I use the .2 um size, but that's probably over-kill, the .45 would work fine also) ...

    My Boba's clone

I do a lot of cigar extracts. I use PG almost exclusively, but I've done a few with VG also - the results are very different. Using the same cigar, I've cut some into equal amounts of PG & VG in baby food jars, heated them up for a few seconds in the microwave every day for a week (just enough...

    Sigelei Mechnical Mods

Yep, I had the hot button issue with my 13a & did the same thing. Just removing the button, cleaning up the threads & reinstalling it with Noalox made it like a different MOD. It hits a hell of a lot harder and I haven't had the pinky-frying experience since (it got REALLY hot running sub-Ohms...

...I'll let you know when I get it. I was shocked...just heard about the redesigned #20 this afternoon, and it's already in stock! Now, if they could just ship the brass Bagua clone I've had on pre-order for the last six weeks, I'd be a happy camper.....

Sigelei #19 Tips, tricks, and DON'Ts

I know that the switch from an 8W & the #29 are direct replacements & there may be others - most of Sigelei's Telescopes have the same threading. I think there are a couple of aftermarket switches available from the Philippines if you can find them....look on Youtube.
