    why do some flavors pop and hiss and other burn to the wicks/atomizer quicly

    Yeppers. When any of mine do that, I just burn it off a couple of times without taking a hit, and then it's over. It seems like it just doesn't heat up enough to vaporize before hitting your tongue and it's bogged down on the coil. Burning it off before taking a hit resolves it. Easy to do. ;)

    I use 12-18 mg, a straight 50/50 vg-pg mix, almost for a year now, no ill effects. I prefer the 50/50 as the straight vg is a tad too thick. :)

    I am a menthol vapor person too..but what I do is use the fruit flavors in combo with the menthol. So it's the menthol, with some fruit mixed in to give it some extra tasty flavor. Mine are 50/50 pg-vg, so I don't have an issue with the sugar coating. But everyone is right, drink lots of water...

    Could be the ratio of the PG/VG. Higher PG gives a harder throat hit also, may be a factor. If it's irritating to you, try going higher on the VG.
