    that would explain why on some videos I saw they used k gauge 28 and 10-12 wraps and ended up with ( i forget but more than 1.8 ohms anyway) ? thick wire, longer wire --more resistance

    thanks --yes I am pleased that at least it works--i drained out the apple juice and added some caramel-- now i can't really tell what is burning and what is caramel anyway I will practice and experiment as I wait for my kayfun clone to be delivered

    jeez--more confusion--i was using the thicker wire of the 2 that I have--then it must be kanthal 28 but less resistance = more ohms? these clearizers have worked ok-- i dont think that is the reason could i have burned it too much before the wick and coil were saturated?

    i like my vtr--i only use the adapter thingy as it just saves raising my arm up another inch or so.. never tried a mvp so i can't comment on that

    Awful first 2 days

    as a noobie its impossible to tell where that burnt crappy taste comes from--i have had the same...bad coil? bad juice? too much voltage?? after a while it becomes easier to trobleshoot..keep trying
