Stop the presses, new lavatube 3.0 is about to hit with a 4 amp limit!

About the only purpose the adapter, or breakout as you call it serves is to verify the voltage of the IVM with a VOM. It will follow the set voltages as you adjust them between 3 and 6v no load but the reading mean nothing when you place it under load unless the LT is set at 6V. Example: If I...

Stop the presses, new lavatube 3.0 is about to hit with a 4 amp limit!

I couldn't swear to anything in that regard except my results with various error checks. I put the Inline Volt Reader on the V1.5 together with an adapter enabling me to connect a VOM to read the voltage. The IVR always matched the VOM reading. Once I established the max volts for any given ohm...

Stop the presses, new lavatube 3.0 is about to hit with a 4 amp limit!

Great choice IMO. :) According to Discount Vapers management it is a 2.5amp unit, same as the V1 LT which is darn good for the price. Errol

Stop the presses, new lavatube 3.0 is about to hit with a 4 amp limit!

Have read several speak of pressing the power button 5 or 6 times to determine if their unit has a problem. Do you mean push the Big Button (the power button) or the Menu Button, the small button beneath the + an - buttons? Errol

Stop the presses, new lavatube 3.0 is about to hit with a 4 amp limit!

I seem to recall Vapor Beast writing that his units are V2 but can't find it now though IVape claims their 4amp unit is a V2. From what I read on the Vapor Beast forum I felt he really did have a 4amp unit. As to my V1.5s that are going back, the first one was very erratic and I was sent a...

Stop the presses, new lavatube 3.0 is about to hit with a 4 amp limit!

Good post Salky. Just a minor point about quality and performance, A $44 MadVapes VV Box Mod with voltage readout will perform as well an any expensive VV unit on the market and better than many of the wannabes. They aren't pretty and a nuisance to adjust the voltage but as long as the batteries...

That's where the amp rating comes in Kaleb. If you buy a 3 or 4ohm atty or carto the V1 LT will vape at 6v but if you want to vape a 1.5ohm unit you will have to settle for much lower voltage, it's Ohms law. :) Errol

Stop the presses, new lavatube 3.0 is about to hit with a 4 amp limit!

All I know for sure is the unit advertised as 4amp at Vapor Alley is not a 4amp unit, it is a dressed up V1.5 with a max of 3amp. Whether or not these two vendors have the true 4amp unit, I don't know. The ones buying from Vapor Beast seemed satisfied, but do your homework before making a...

    Lavatube 1.5

i bought one of those thinking it was a 4amp unit as the ad claims, even mailed them to be sure but sadly it's just a dressed up V1.5 3amp unit. Errol

It's what I think of as surface charge, they will quickly draw down to the 3.7v area and drop from there much slower. Errol

 Sissy! I bought a 5pack of triple coil cartos almost a year ago and still have 4 unused because I don't have anything that will get any satisfactory service from them. Maybe a true 4amp unit will do it. :) Errol

Stop the presses, new lavatube 3.0 is about to hit with a 4 amp limit!

I assume when you say switch you mean the power button. On all the current models of VV units I'm aware of the power switch just activates the circuitry so there is minimal current present at the switch so there is no 4amp switch involved. Not sure what you mean by 3.2amp regulator, that is...

Stop the presses, new lavatube 3.0 is about to hit with a 4 amp limit!

Depends on what you're vaping Tex. My favorite carto is a 1.6ohm DC clearo and 13watts just barely brings up a decent vapor and flavor when they are new, higher as they age. As I recall you are pretty happy using a 3.7v battery with the Echo DC cartos whereas I needed at least 4.5v to get...

Stop the presses, new lavatube 3.0 is about to hit with a 4 amp limit!

You are absolutely right Tex, V1 will accomplish satisfactory vaping for most vapers and V1.5 will cover most of those not satisfied with V1. That said, what drives so many of us to spend all this money on the latest and the greatest, whether it be vaping or golfing or any other hobby for that...

Stop the presses, new lavatube 3.0 is about to hit with a 4 amp limit!

Received my "V1.5-t Tube Only (4 Amp Circuit)" from VaporAlley today and my worst concerns have been confirmed, it is a V1.5 and not a 4amp unit. The best it can do is 13.2 watts and 2.88 amps, very little better than the two I'm returning to Penny's. None of them even close to the 3.2amps for...
