Looks like some quality thinking went into the tank mod Craig. I may try it with a clear CE3 with holes drilled right over the feed holes or as close as I can get without obstruction.
Got vapes claims they have helped build the Phoenix XL but with a CE3 and a Phoenix side by side I can't tell a...
Looks great Craig. Don't recognize the CE3 tank but fill plug in the end looks familiar. Did you punch the hole in the tank?
The CE3 cartos I have look exactly like the phoenix. Do you have a link to this style CE3 and do they come apart like the Phoenix?

Hi DickRRR, Instead of trying to make the carto fit the tank why not cut the tank to fit the carto? If you don't want to cut one of your favorite tubes just mod a syringe tube.

As it works out I have a fairly well equipped shop and was able to get one apart without damage. Drilled out the juice feed hole to double it's original size and even modified the inner tube to where I could rotate the outer tube to open/close the feed hole. Further mods to where it would still...
Whatever happened to the idea of a simple flow adjustment for the bottom coil that was discussed in the Phoenix thread?
I'll never buy another Raven but I would sure buy some Phoenix XLs with some sort of feed control.

Be a good idea to shop around a little as they can be priced from one on sale to five dollars regular price plus freight. My short extenders protrude 1/4" when screwed all the way in.
Just looked and MadVapes has them for two dollars. V2 510 Shorty Extension- Unsealed

That's method is the least messy for filling all my cartos but seems reasonable that it isn't going to work for everyone, best to stay with what works for you.

Hi Cyrus, I'm so far removed from anything but a 510 thread I don't even know what the S1 and X2 are.
The eGo Twist and the newer 3 to 6v eGo version along with the Wow aka Woo are high on my list of great little power units. Find myself going back to my originals, the MV VV Box Mod for my...
I've had great luck just boiling any new or dirty coil in the microwave for three or four minutes in a cup with about an inch of water over the highest part of the coil assembly. I also have an ultrasonic cleaner and it doesn't seem to do a better job than a good brick boil. My coils are seldom...
I had a similar problem originally, finnally occurred to me it might not be completing the grounding ciruit, spring to cap, cap to tube. Used a pair of needle nose pliers to grab one side of the spring and rotated it back and forth to make sure it had a clean surface then screwed it in clockwise...
I used a deck screw, (before I started drilling holes) they have a much sharper point than a nail if you happen to have something similar around.

As stiff as it is to pull the tank up I had the same concerns so I drilled a small hole just bigger than the syringe needle in the top area of the niquid tank. Many ways to plug fill hole but I just use a small piece of scotch tape, nearly invisible. Certainly makes filling a lot easier.
