You will most likely destroy the threads in the top cap unless you're very careful. You might try heating it up just a wee bit with a torch.
Is it stock? I had an easier time after I got rid of one of the center post nuts and put a very short spring and washer on the center post in between the two remaining nuts. Added bonus was that it was easier to recoil.
I always ran into issues with the wick shorting out in the wick hole. I would bump the thing the wrong way and get a decrease in temp, flavor or vapor. I could adjust the wick up or down about a few mm up or down and it would be good as new.

The guys at the local vape shop said the same thing when I bought an aga. It and the RSST were side by side in the case. The owner tried to talk me out of it but I wouldn't listen. It was the most frustrating few days I've had since I started vaping. It gets easier after you figure it out though.
pdib, I gotta ask how did you get that cube to keep its shape? Before I saw the unpowered pic i thought it was a piece of fire brick or ceramic or something.
I still use an evod and a twist daily. I also like being able to tailor my experience making my own coils, wicks and juices.
I'm addicted to fiddling though. :)
