What you do in the privacy of your home is your business. I'm surprised how many people are forgetting this. Even if the FDA bans this or that, it will never stop e-cigs. There are simply too many ways to get all the hardware and ingredients needed from so many alternative sources. Just sayin'...
I started out with the 2 Joye eGo/510 900mah passthroughs,(about 20 USD at the time) and 2 Vision Vivi nova minis.(~7USD) The passthroughs allowed me to vape while recharging via the little usb plug at the bottom. I bought a lanyard(~5USD) for them to keep under my shirt while working/studies...
Oh yeah! This is the reason I love ECF. Great conclusion dwcraig! I'll be looking for one tomorrow. Much easier than my SS washer with a slot for wire idea. I think I'll pay my local plumber's supply a visit tomorrow :)
A bit tricky with a Provari as it may throw an error code if the resistance to much lower than 1.6 (in my experience) I tyically keep my reisistance no lower than 1.8.
I agree with SilentSreams. a Vivi Nova Tank looks decent on a Provari and is really good value for money. Make sure it's a "VISION" Vivi nova (there are fakes out there). It's easy to maintain, easy to replace the heads, and easy to get into the foray of rebuilding your own heads, should you...
Be sure to research handling and safety procedures, especially with nicotine. Mixing is really just some math and careful measuring of the ingredients involved. My family doesn't DIY like I do. ECF has all the information you'll need when you're ready :)
I had the great fortune of most of my family members vaping a couple of years before I started. I've never purchased a pre-mixed liquid before. I DIY all my flavors. I have over 100 flavors in the fridge and mix whatever I feel like having that day :).. but my usual daily vape is peppermint...
Not really with the topic, but for those aspiring vivi rebuilders out there, I found this video particularly useful and informative:
A PBusardo Tutorial - Vivi Nova Cleaning & Rebuilding - YouTube
Phil Busardo is a good source of information with all sorts of vape equipment.
All very good suggestions! I'd only add to the argument: "Why vape something that tastes like the same thing you smoked for 20+ years when there are literally thousands of different tastes and aromas to be explored?" I tried the tobacco-like flavors.. All they did for me was make me want a...
Cotton, hemp, everything I boil. I don't know who (or what) it has come in contact with it before it reached me. Say the guy in Pakistan that packaged my cheesecloth had a cold and forgot to wash his hands. I have no interest in getting sick. Also, those of us who smoked for 20+ years are...
"Wrapping like a washer" method was apparently a solution offered by the creator of the original Oddyseus. That's one of the "quirks" I was referring to.
I was thinking about how I don't really care about the look but rather the performance and just realized: You know that geeky looking dude you see driving around in a Volvo? I think I'm *that guy* in the Vaping world. I don't care what it looks like, I want a comfortable, reliable ride :)
If you search for "Ody problem" or "Odsseus problems" you'll find plenty :)
But to save frustration, I suggest you read the thread relating to the exact clone you're getting. I have the Terminator and Term-C, but as you know there are a lot of different clones out there. So far the Term seems...
I'm basing my statement on what others have said. I personally vaped on silica a grand total of one day when I first started. My impression at the time was that silica wicked better; mainly because I couldn't tell what I was getting a dry hit. That's what you don't want to have, since, as we...
It's easy to forget that once the coil is on a cotton wick, you can't dry burn it. Well, you *could* but then you'd be replacing the wick :) I'm built 'em a few times and remembered that I forgot...
I mainly use VG as well and hemp twine works very well with it. When you dry burn...
Anything that gets people's minds working and interested in learning is a great thing! I spent many years repairing coin-op games and pinball machines with skills that came from my interest in electronics. It's been sad seeing "Radio Shack" become what it is today. Surface Mounted Devices made...
You'll either run out of money, or you'll go insane... yes; quite normal (: I've sunk quite a lot of money into my habit, but hey, By 2025 I would have spent as much on cigarettes, so it all averages out.
