    Terminator RA Tank

Stormy's vape cellar is top-notch! I had a defective part on my Term-C and she had a replacement in my hands within a few days. This is one customer that appreciates an honest, no nonsense seller and will buy there whenever possible!

    Wick materials. Safe vs dangerous.

Nice thing about the forums is that even if no one is interested now, someone may be later. They'll find the information with a search. Most Hemp doesn't seem to wick very well (the ones that were tried and reported here). BJ43 gave one particular type/brand a positive note, so I picked some...

    Wick materials. Safe vs dangerous.

I hear you Quigs, I just have a lot of the #1/0 here already for my vivi novas, and it just happens to fit perfectly in my Ody clone.. annnnnd I have some cheese cloth sitting right here too... It's just easier for me to count to #1/0 than 50.... ;) You're "preachin' to the converted" in my...

    Resistance-No Resistance wire welder

Everclear and High Voltage.... Sounds like the beginning of a really bad AC/DC tune...

    Wick materials. Safe vs dangerous.

I hear Ya on the flavor. I'll never forget the first time I vaped on my clone.. "Stop the Presses! This is real News!" :D My poor AGAs and Vivis.. just sitting there collecting dust.. If you don't mind the hassle of NR, Odys are certainly worth the trouble imho.

    Wick materials. Safe vs dangerous.

Just a "heads up" DSmooch: Cotton will swell when moist. You'll want to go with what fits but not too tight. I've had great luck that the #1/0 that I use just happens to work so well in my Ody clone. Not sure how hot you can go with cotton. I typically use 32awg Kanthal (4-5 wraps) with an...

    Terminator RA Tank

Thinking of the "Spacer/Washer" issue. I found a quick solution by cutting a plastic wall anchor and sanding it down to 0.5 mm. Since I can't verify the materials used in the plastic, I'm looking for alternatives. I just had a thought: Tubing used in fish tanks? Comes in quite a few sizes...

    Wick materials. Safe vs dangerous.

Hi Smooch, Since I've never had to go any larger than #1/0, I'm not sure which size is equivalent to 3mm. My guess is the next size up #1 would be about 2.5mm and #2 would be 3mm. Candle wicking sizes can be confusing. For all I know, #1 may already be already 3mm... Can any of my fellow...

    Wick materials. Safe vs dangerous.

Amazon.com: Cotton Square Braid Candle Wick - #1/0: Arts, Crafts & Sewing That's the one I get. I use about 3 feet at a time and boil it to remove residue. Better to be safe. Be sure to not stretch it when wet as I've noticed that some of the thinner portions of the wick don't wick as well...

    Terminator RA Tank

I'm too lazy to make another washer; just wrapping it as I described previously. Will get around to it; but for the time being I'm considering making the disposable camera welder for NR wire to resistance wire. :)...

    Terminator RA Tank

I should have gone back and looked at all the Ody tips instead of figuring it out myself.. Re-inventing the wheel and all that :)

    Wick materials. Safe vs dangerous.

I thought its pretty cool... Just have to be careful you don't go blind. That flash of power could hurt your sight if you don't look away though... just sayin' :)

Vivi Nova 28g oval coil 1mm hemp wick

Man, I've been so lazy (thanks to my new Terminator(Ody clone)) that I haven't even boiled my hemp twine yet! I ordered the one you posted BJ. It's a smaller diameter so I'm not sure if I'll be able to get it to work in my Ody clone.... I'll get around to it in the next days :)

    Wick materials. Safe vs dangerous.

The only thing that's bugging me right now is the Non-resist -> resistance wire. I've been trying various ways to tie so it fits in the ceramic cup and not in the channel. I saw that thread about using a disposable camera to spot-weld the wire but again, too lazy... :) I'm sure if I look...

    Terminator RA Tank

I tried Navy_Lifeguard's method. It works but I had contact issues a few times so I came up with a different method: Take the NR wire that you'd normally use to wrap around the wick(as Navy did) and use it as a washer; sandwich it between the base and the large nut wrapping it all the way...

    Wick materials. Safe vs dangerous.

The screw method worked great for me with my vivis. I hear you guys on the "getting bored" aspect of this all. When I first got involved with ECF and vaping, this thread took me a week to read through. I've tried most all of the cotton methods, and settled on cotton candle wick as preferred. I...

    Terminator RA Tank

You're right! I forgot that I already had about 1ml in the bottom of the tank the last time I filled it! Thanks for the correction :) I'm gettin' old and the mind's a weakening.. (snicker!)

    Terminator RA Tank

It holds about 5ml. Maybe a bit more if you "top it off"... :) CORRECTION: It will hold 6ml.

    Terminator RA Tank

I wrote in the Term-C post about my experience with cleaning the this unit. I cannot stress again just how important it is that you properly clean it before use. I washed it first in a bath of dishwashing detergent in a black bowl. wow... literally between 50-70 tiny particles of stainless...

    Terminator RA Tank

I flamed my first Terminator before use, but kind of hurried on the Term-C. I did notice and underlying taste that could have been soapy, but I'm not sure as it disappeared by the end of the first tank. If you don't have a torch, you can always use the heating element on a stove.
