    When traveling anywhere in those regions, I've always opted to leave my e-cig at home and took nico-gum instead. I've never had a problem with it. I know it's not a great solution, but better than having your e-cig gear confiscated and possible fines.

    Different Cottons for different wicks

    I wrap my wire on a small 2mm diameter "precision" screwdriver, wrapping as close together as I can. Also, tinfoil can be helpful with feeding the cotton through the coils. I also heat the wire red hot with a lighter so it's not so "springy".

    As Baditude stated, Version 2 Provaris addressed this problem. as long as your resistance isn't too low, (below 1.6 I believe) then you shouldn't have any problems.
