    Diabetics....help!

I wish I could point you in the right direction, but I did read a thread where a doctor mentioned that although VG is a sweetner; due the the way the body asorbs VG the real sugar increase extremely low. Found a thread...

How many volts do you need?

I believe there's an "add 2" rule of thumb which basically states that if you have 2 ohm resistance, the add 2 volt's to make 4V. This gets me pretty close to my optimum preference. It's not perfect though. oops not to change the thread subject here...

How many volts do you need?

Yes. Most atty/cartos that I've tried do fall into the 1.6-3.2ohm range. I've made a few coils >3.6 ohms which started getting flavor at 5.5V, but then realized the TH was completely lacking. Not to mention it's just easier (generally) to go with lower resistance than to up the voltage/wattage...

    Another ZMax vs Provari thread...

I've never seen so much debate over something so simple. FFS pick the one that is right for you already! :) There's so many variables between VV,VW, and all the mirade of carto/tanks/RBAs/etc. So the person that assembled your carto was having an off day, or the machine that made the 1,000,000...

How many volts do you need?

I'm not sure how well silica holds up to voltages beyond 5V, but I rarely require anything higher than 4.8V (1.8-3.0ohms) with cotton. It's really a matter of personal preference me thinks.

Cotton - How Difficult is it to Keep Wet?

Although I've had no luck with it, There's quite the fan-following for bamboo thread. It wicks as good as, if not better than cotton, and has a slight woodlike undertone. Apparently it helps with a decent TH and is more durable than cotton. If you've reached the end of your wicks, then maybe...

    Wick materials. Safe vs dangerous.

That's odd.. Now I'm beginning to wonder if someone "had their way" with my Auntie?(snicker) I've tried it in the Vision tank, mini,Stardust, and my current favorite the Hyper SRT II, but to no avail.. I've got a mean cold going on, so i'll have to wait before I make anymore attempts with Aunt...

    Wick materials. Safe vs dangerous.

I almost mentioned your type of hemp sheathed in cotton Cool Breeze :) I hear ya Quiqsworth: I've only tried it with my goto peppermint/menthol mix. I recognize it's superior wicking, but it makes me ill everytime I try it. So far the #1/0 cotton braid is my main goto. It holds up well. Once I...

    The Pyrex SS hybrid Wick

LOL! I ordered two of these to try something similiar. Not sure if the poly can handle the heat though... also note that this tank is also called the "Hyper SRT II" (newer version than PBusardo tested and failed) Just an fyi should anyone want to find it.

    Wick materials. Safe vs dangerous.

I've tried bamboo on multiple occasions and I just can't get over the "wood" taste. Boiled it 5 times to no avail. Been thinking about hemp thread; I've seen hemp candle-wick which might better suit our needs. Online only, so far.

    Provari

Basic rule of thumb for the Cartos/tanks/etc and the Provari: If you can't see the connector threads, don't buy it. Otherwise you'll need an extender/adapter. I'm thinking Vision Stardust in this case. Just thought I'd mention it. :)

    Built like a car?

I think the reason this hasn't been done is because battery life, waste of resistance wire and fluid. Short answer: yes it can be done. Probably a better solution for the "simmer" would be a very high resistance coil; one that wouldn't bring the fluid to boil, but keep it hot. Something like a...

Might sound like a really dumb question about voltage but...

Here's a few threads where variable voltage is explained: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ask-veterans/293579-why-adjustable-voltage.html http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/new-members-forum/315607-why-variable-voltage.html

SmokTek Hyper SRT II (Nov 24 2012)

After browsing some other sites, I've come to realize that the gotvapes.com advertised "Hyper SRT II" is also known as the Smoktech "R". Not sure if gotvapes got it wrong. In any case I ordered two in two separate orders I got exactly what the pictures at gotvapes show. However, the box it came...

    New Joyetech eVic

Might be of interest to you guys that He said it was a prototype and that there will be more menu options, (possibly watt settings, etc). It also auto adjusts the voltage according to coil resistance, but can changed according to preference. It has a temperature monitor as well; will warn if...

SmokTek Hyper SRT II (Nov 24 2012)

I hear that! lol I've got another "cheapy" that I haven't even unpacked yet. It looks like a vivi/tank base with a 3 ml tank, but with an aluminum top It's from Oakley Vaping OCT. Not sure how good it'll vape, but I'll be finding out someday.. Right now I'm returning to the bamboo testing to...

SmokTek Hyper SRT II (Nov 24 2012)

The SRT pull is wide open, compared to the viv mini or vivi tank. At first I didn't like it... Until I dialed up the voltage and took shorter, fuller hits. Now I think the vivi feels constricted in comparison :)

SmokTek Hyper SRT II (Nov 24 2012)

The base at the bottom is metal with a metal post in the middle. The top (that holds the coil posts) is polypropylene threads/ no metal. Feels durable when tightening down, but I've only opened it ten times or so. One time I had the coil within a milimeter of the air tube as you called it and...

SmokTek Hyper SRT II (Nov 24 2012)

Straight out of the box test. I thought it would be more useful for a "typical" vaper to give me more feedback, since I had immediately modded mine for cotton. So I bought another one and gave it to my father who's been vaping for years now. I just got off the phone with him and he...
