Everybody really is different. I have OCD (in addition to GAD). I actually tracked my attacks (how sad is that?). Nothing made a difference for me outside my own head. I'm on top of the panic attacks now but it was all down to cognitive behavioral therapy for me. I highly recommend it.
I...
As a panic person myself, I agree it "helps" but I think it's more of a conditioned response than real help from dopamine release. I've lived through panic attacks both ways and I've never noticed a lessening of symptoms or a shorter duration when I smoked versus not smoking or not vaping...
It's the deep breathing that's relaxing you. Nicotine has it's fun points but it's a CNS stimulator. The drug winds you up but the habits associated with it smooth you out. ;)
You might try vaping 0% nic deep and slow and see how you feel during that. If it doesn't work, you can always...
I also have an anxiety disorder and I've experienced panic attacks so I know exactly what you mean. Your symptoms sound like anxiety to me - not an allergic reaction.
It may be that vaping itself is not for you. People with anxiety are often more sensitive to environmental issues. You may...
That is interesting. I don't have asthma myself but what's the advantage of using an ecig instead of a nebulizer? Not dissing your choice here, just curious.
I just socialize anyway. I like going outside now for it's own sake. I never made a big deal about switching (or going to zero nic) so people assume that I'm still smoking....something. This is great since it means they think I "have" to get outside 3 times a day. :D
My BFF just had spinal fusion 2 weeks ago.
I've been with her every step of the way and so far as I know - no nic period before or after the operation. Fusion starts immediately; not months down the line.
It's just a zero nic situation. Luckily, zero nic is not as crazy as some people think...
I'm not really an insomniac but I stay up a lot later than my favorite thread on this board or my husband seems to like.
When I wake up or can't sleep I just get up and do housework or something. It's tragically boring. I should be practicing pole-dancing or something.
Prayers for you. I think it's the part one or two months down the line that is hardest. The first few weeks everybody is concerned but later that fades for them - it's still pretty tragic for you.
At work I still go out and hang with the smokers. I like getting out and I would miss the conversation. Smokers talk about way more interesting things.
I vape exactly the way I smoked, though. No constant vaping for me.
I'd agree with Knot above but I'd add that it's not as much of big deal as you think it is. Or as I thought it was, anyway. I went down fairly quickly and it was much easier than I thought.
Since I got my ecig, I've switched and dropped down to 6 mg/ml from 18 mg/ml. At each point, I thought the world would end but......nothing bad happened! Worrying about each change was WAY worse than doing the change.
I vape a lot less than I smoked and it's.......fine!
Have some...
