I should clarify that it does cycle on and off according to the burner setting. But on high it'll leave the burner on constantly with a proper sized pot/pan and boil water in 3 minutes, with a pan smaller than the burner it cycles on for maybe 3 seconds then turns off for 15-20 seconds and takes...
I didn't think so [emoji106] I'm not the type of person to splurge on utilitarian items that I just need to work, and the only reason we have the fancy dishwasher is the deep discount. The parts cost may end up biting me however.
Now that we've gotten used to the flat top range it's pretty...
I bought a normally $1200 machine that was last years model on sale and scratch and dent which ended up costing a third of the price. All the gizmo's and whirlygigs are $35 to replace but apparently the NASA computer in the control panel is worth it's weight in gold.
I'm a huge fan of the dish...
Another round of stimulus would be welcome but I doubt it'll happen. I built that computer and paid off my new range and was awaiting my comeuppance for it and it occurred the day before we had family over for the 4th.
My wife was cooking up a storm and I noticed the dishwasher sounded more...
My wife's grandma didn't want to deal with dentures and went with several implants. They did it in stages so she could still eat/chew decently. Her review was it sucked hard for about a year while it was happening/healing but she couldn't be happier now.
I called to get a quote on new tpms...
Oof, when it rains it pours.
My trucks tire pressure monitoring system is on the fritz, both front sensors randomly fluctuate between 0-99 psi and one of the rears doesn't show any reading. I've always watched my tires with a gauge so I'm not too concerned about it, it's just the bright...
Congrats on the new AC, I hope you get many years of trouble free service! Dental insurance is such a racket. I'm fortunate to have coverage from my job, the downside being it covers 100% up to $300 individual/$600 for a family and then 0% after that. With cleanings being $100 a pop, it runs out...
When I was a kid, we were heading to Florida to visit my grandparents in our most reliable vehicle at the time, a 1989 GMC Suburban with a 454 V8. We had to stop for gas every few hundred miles as it got at most 10 mpg.
I'll never forgot a guy at an Ohio gas station. Probably in his 60's, skin...
Bad timing aside, I hope it pays for itself quickly!
We replaced our 35 yr old furnace/AC about 5 years ago with 98% efficiency units. It was about $5500 for a 1600 sq ft house. We actually didn't run the old AC except briefly at night because keeping the house at 74 degrees was over $400 on...
Indeed. Averaging 1.1 times per year and since they've had two kids and have moved once since and are discussing moving again now as they has a 2 bedroom home.
It wouldn't be so bad if his brothers that all live less than 20 minutes away would help, but noooo it's gotta be me who lives almost...
When my sister in law was in college, she demanded to live in the dorms for the "lifestyle" from all the movies.
She realized the lack of privacy sucks, and moved into a 4 bedroom apartment with a mutual friend and some roommates. He moved out shortly afterwards since he got a paid internship...
Interesting. I remember reading something about how tobacco smokers were under represented in the total number of covid cases, but slightly over represented in the number of deaths. Suggesting smokers were less likely to catch it, but more likely to succumb to it. Whether it's due to something...
That sucks Rebel, hopefully something good comes your way quickly!
My brother started updating his resume a few days ago. He works for a small indie game studio as the only developer/coder and they're losing both their artists soon. The guy who was there when the company started is going to...
Our stay at home order was just extended to May 15. It's sounding like the union isn't going to budge on us not returning to full production before the general order is lifted for auto manufacturing.
Some tradesmen and team leaders are scheduled to report back to work Monday to attempt to create a safe restart plan. It'll be interesting to see how they deal with the physical separation thing when we're all stacked on top of each other. It's sounding like even if they do figure something out...
My wife has an undercut that she wants reshaved every few weeks. She goes to the salon for recolor/cut then the local barbershop with $5 buzz cuts to get the side redone in between. She was going to attempt it herself with scissors and comb and I volunteered to do it with my beard trimming...
It'll be a month I've been off work in a couple days. Unlike the strike last year I've actually gotten stuff accomplished.
Replaced the pads/rotors and shoes/drums on my truck, fixed the tailgate that quit opening a few months back and replaced the evap solenoid getting rid of a check engine...
