I'm absolutely sure they're in the pocket of BP, but I'm guessing the other part of it is that they have to play to their base (just like any other politician).
I just watched this and I was please at just how little of the typical fear mongering was included in the story. Yes, there was some (gotta seem balanced), but for the most part it was a very positive piece.
Ha! It's usually the women that comment on the MCM when I take it out with me, which absolutely encourages me to take it out with me more often. :)
If you're interested, they're sold by a guy with the handle matador here on ECF, and he's recently stated doing 26650 battery configurations as...
What I hate about my ProVari is that it didn't come with a fusion reactor option. I mean really!! I have to actually change the batteries in this thing every day or two, and that's just not acceptable! :D
On a more serious note: I'm not in love with the aesthetics as I think it could be...
It is my understanding that only the legislative branch will be virtually on vacation for the rest of the year, but not the other members of the administration or other federal offices. Also, the lack of legislative session scheduling definitely does not equal a shutdown. Two very different...
Just curious if anyone who has a LG XL3 mod has tried to replace the XL3 head with anything else successfully? Is the XL3 threading compatible with the eVic or any other 3rd party control head?
I was looking at the prices they had on chargers too, and they seem to be really competitive. I already purchased my i2 back in July, or else I would have jumped on that deal as well.
ETA: They also have the best price I've seen on the Pila IBC 2 bay charger at ~$40 right now. This is my...
I don't know if it's relevant, but I had a friend who had a similar issue with any and all portable battery operated devices (cell phones especially). We finally just decided that there was something about her chemistry that drained the batteries faster because she wasn't using it more than...
I just placed the order for 4 of the NCR18650PF batteries and the total with shipping was $34.06 (about $8.50 per battery), and they ship in free plastic cases if you order in pairs. That's only about $7 more than I would have paid at FastTech, and I don't have to worry about the HK post office...
For great carto tanks at a reasonable price, I always recomment IBTanked (IBTanked - Get Tanked With Us!). Check out the FAQ page for information about setting up and priming the carto and filling the tank. They also have a subforum here at ECF and they are great about answering questions.
If you haven't tried carto tanks, I would suggest you give them a shot. I use bottom coil clearos on my eGo Twist batteries, but I love my carto tanks on my larger mods.
My recommendation would be IBTanked for great pyrex carto tanks at a very reasonable price.
If you're looking for something that you'll have for a long time and high quality, then the Provari would be the best choice IMO. Of course, you'll need to budget about $200 to get the Provari, at least 2 AW IMR batteries, and a quality charger, but it's well worth it.
I believe that we'll be seeing safer and higher capacity batteries in the not so distant future. More funds are going into research for electric vehicles and solar/wind power storage technology these days, and all that research usually ends up in consumer applications at some point.
Yeah, I like what I read on the specs and I've been getting great performance from the PD version. The price from this vendor is just a few dollars more per battery that FT (shipped), and they're based in the U.S. which is something I generally prefer if the cost difference is minimal.
That's what I gathered from a flashlight forum. Slightly different chemistry to make them last longer (overall more charge cycles). I already have the PD version and they've been working great for the last couple of months.
