    protank at .8 0hms

    Im running a 6 wrap flat kanthal coil at 1.6 ohms and 12 watts and boy does the tank sure get hot. Got it wrapped arround two pieces of 2mm silica and it is impossible to get a dry hit.

    I should have clarified. I am actually trying to put a stainless wick in my protank after my OEM head started conducting electricity into my face. Just got one working though after following your video to a tee. Sure does get the protank hot running a 6 wrap 1.6 ohm coil at 12 watts.

    They always short on the closest point from positive to wick. Kanj, that's very good to know, I have always been under the imprression that the coil has to be very tight to avoid getting hot spots or burnt coil.

    Going from 12mg to 6mg

    I am in the exact same boat as you however I have, at times, needed more than the 6mg. If I eat a really big meal or have a couple drinks I'll notice that I am just unsatisfied even after chain vaping.

    Using the SS mesh that came with my RSST I had no problem. I bought mesh from meshwizard .com and now I cannot make a coil that won't short. I have tried oxidizing it 4 and 5 times and then burning the juice several times. I have tried adding carbon before and after rolling the mesh. Nada.

    Freaky indeed. I have two protanks with mesh wicks and outside of getting a hotspot next to the rubber ring and burning it if held down too long they have been flawless. It is the wildest sensation having that current flow through your cheeks, eyes, and neck though.

    I cannot locate the source of this current. Using a pen light down the tip of the protank the removable post on top of the coil doesn't seem to be contacting the tip of the protank.

    No leaking at all. This coil has lasted 3 days no problem without a hitch. It's a 1.8 ohm. I don't have any extras actually I have gone through all 5 in the last 3 weeks.
