    I've used a small nail and hammer to widen my holes before. It seems to work but be gentle. Once you widen the holes bobas should be fine

    Like oban said, it sounds like you don't have good contact. Try getting a small flat head screwdriver like the ones to fix eyeglasses and very gently pry up on the contacts on the cartomizer. Make sure you do it evenly around the base. That should help. Some tanks dont like certain batteries
