no, not on the battery. That would be for a true ground (not negative battery connection that some people refer to incorrectly as "ground"). The 3-wire meters are probably intended to go into a device that is already grounded somehow, so it would be tied in to that ground circuit. If I'm...- Killjoy1

Well, I haven't seen the 3-wire ones, but I would assume that third wire is a ground, particularly since it has a higher voltage range. (and yes, sorry, my mind went there :lol: )- Killjoy1
