That's ridiculous... FDA approved cessation products are orders of magnitude less effective than the 75% you suggest.
Hell, There is very little, of anything in this world, that is 75% assured.
Call me crazy... But I still love my Nimbus for when I'm craving clouds.
Quad coil, 28awg 0.2 ohm...
Good God... It's an actual hazard to use while driving, unless my windows are down... And makes 6mg liquid WAY to strong.

Wondering if he realistic, reasonable or if My kids will be assailed with crazy ANTZ double speak and spin.
I see he credits himself with the charge for the Family Smoking Prevention Act... the very act that stands to outlaw 99% of all ecigs...
yes the CDC study often referenced as showing a doubling of teen use.
It actually demonstrated a shift from tobacco use to eCigs
but eCig opponents conveniently left off the "from tobacco use" part of that sentence.
we need clarification on the "components vs accessories" issue.
A mod is not akin to the paper in a cigarette... it is more comparable to a tobacco pipe... which is NOT regulated by the FDA.
It seems that the only tobacco product, that fits the FDAs definition of a tobacco product, is the...
I'm thinking this has to be where we argue from...
I know we don't talk about it here... but non-cig-a-like ecigs are used for other things besides eliquid.
And a case can be made, as a result, that they are no different than pipes.
The only item the FDA could conceivably deem to be tobacco...
This was the stance the reporter at the AP i spoke with had following the media call.
He left that call with the impression that the devices themselves, and any no-nic liquid would not be regulated because they don't contain tobacco-derived nicotine... he specifically used a "wooden tobacco...
I got this as well....
And I just realized this was a response to our old 36,000 signature petition... the one that never got answered.
I FIND THIS HIGHLY OFFENSIVE!
Why would Mitch Zeller respond to a petition to the President?
One that specifically asks the White House to prevent the FDA...
SE applications are required if they change the type of Glue used to seal the paper...
ANY change is a change and no product has received SE approval to date.
right... so if i develop a new food product, that contains tomato... it could be banned outright because it contains nicotine and was not sold before 2007...
Crazy.
What I don't get:
eCigarettes were not deemed to be "tobacco products" until 2014. How on earth does that require them to meet the 2007 definition and rules related to tobacco products?
Think of it this way:
If eCigs were introduced TODAY, instead of 2006; The FDA with this Demeing Reg, would...
agreed... and in my conversation with an AP reporter, after he took part in the Media call this morning, he specifically said that the FDA stated they have no authority to regulate devices or products that do not contain nicotine.
Which as the reporter stated to is why they don't regulate...
Roger,
I'm confused by your assertion... from the way i read the paper:
manufacturers have 2 years to file
products can stay on the market while they are being reviewed
manufacturers can continue to release new products during that 2 year window
Just did a follow up with the AP.
The reporter totally understands the SE process, and how it is almost unworkable for ecigs...
He said that he just got off the media call and Non-Nic items are NOT under FDA jurisdiction
That they said they "only have authority to regulate nicotine as a...
