A little word of advice If you do decide to try and join Lori for dinner sometime ... make sure you verify the directions ( google maps or the like ) in advance or you might wind up dining with complete strangers.
:p
I hated to hear about this but I understand and have no doubt that you and Doug will continue to be successful in whatever endeavors you choose to pursue in the future. I have always admired your work and even more so, you as the wonderful person that you are Kayte.
Ah, that did the trick, Thank You! I tried searching on just 'ceramic' but didn't look in the wick/wire category ...
I wonder what a DOD sale is ... Pink isn't really my color but if I could have gotten one for 25$, I'd make it work!
Hmm, I looked for these and couldn't find them ... do you remember what they were listed as by chance? They didn't come up with a search for 'ceramic coil'. :(
I don't even get credit for trying ... looked at how small it was and figured I'd need a microscope in order to install a coil in it so I left it as a rainy day project. :D
I'd never hide from you my dear ... not a chance! The RW is just having it's way with me lately, if you know what I mean. :D
It's kinda sad to see this thread so quiet these days, it used to be so active ... still love GV though and the good folks associated with it. :)
lol, took the words right out of my mouth! :D
Sharp looking mod for sure Kaz!
I don't recall where I saw them but the other day I stumbled across some ceramic replacement coils ... they looked identical to the insides of the the cCells but I've never seen one of those shells taken apart...
The deck layout is indeed the same on both atties however the diameter differs slightly; the one with the glass windows is a few mm less. Not a big deal of course and you might even be able to get the new top cap to work on the old base but probably not vice versa.
Hi Lori!
So far so good, seems the storm tracked a little more south and east than they thought it might. It has threatened here where I'm at all day but luckily, only got a little wind.
I like fajitas! ;)
Might be too early to tell for sure but a few folks have said they are very similar to the Dripbox ... at less than 30$ though, it's probably worth a shot.
Supposedly they could be used to check the resistance of loose coils that hadn't been installed yet but unfortunately...
Yes, same exact pin ... well, tbh I haven't pulled one from the new atties to double check the length but they look to be exactly the same as the ones in the earlier atties so I assumed. I know that could get me in trouble but I still figure the odds are pretty good. :)
FYI, if needed the bf pin from the included atty can be used in place of the same on the mod itself.
So, if for no other reason, that atty can prove useful, even the earlier version with the glass windows. :)
