Not everything in the vape universe needs to look armored and squat. If the (feel) ergonomics are as good as the functional sleek appearance you may have a winner. Just make sure the finish is durable (and stand by it).
Good luck. :)
Dear @Letitia, @muth…I never ran across anything on YT
that led me to makin good muffins without a muffin pan.
Though try as I might, I only get pan-cakes…
and occasionally, crepes.
Have a great Memorial Day weekend all.
Good luck. :)
On the accurate use of Steam-Engine…
You make a good point. It's listed but I've not found the calc to be exact and I'm not always sure why. If we're taking about the same thing?…It's #turns+spacing(wire width). However most I don't think use S-E accurately as they just set the target res and...
Lifted from the thread Steam-engine and coil length question, Post #27 for reference.

Every metal has a distinctive color temperature signature at melting point. The color frequency spectrum shifts for each with temp change so they cannot be consistently the same at a given temp as I understand it. Accordingly why Sandvik's tables for their similar products. Consider also that...
Thx ur post PID, Kanthal as an alloy is a different breed. Relatively low voltage sequential firing is all that's necessary to begin observable oxidation deposition as I've discussed elsewhere. A very useful mechanism to achieve optimal performance and stability for this wire with strain...
Not meaningful this chart without a source or description. I'm comfortable that you're not reaching 850C at the red-orange boundary with Kanthal. To my comparisons with live wire, charts and Kanthal numbers "salmon" is a safe temp. Also consider that this is the point at which some artifacts of...
This is true and and I've often mentioned this recommending pulsing t.m.c.'s in dimmed lights, to expose irregularities in both wire and wind. When you're looking at that bright yellow-white zone you're def not going to see much (until you audit the video).
Good luck. :)
Both Alien Traveller and I posted links to Sandvik's Kanthal color temp chart here #308 and here #314 on The end of microcoils? thread where many of these concerns were discussed. Unfortunately it seems the page was relocated and I can't find it at the moment.
This may be helpful as a ref: KNOW...
Hmmm, not exactly mebe. This was I believe the response to earlier criticisms and still somewhat unequivocal…as therein the categorical no >700C inferred argument, appropriating the very definition of a "dry burn". The general consensus was that the good Dr. was apologetic. Ok, fine. Like the...
You raise some good and appropriate points concerning wire GOM. But Dr. Farsalinos statement, "Dry-burning the coils means heating them to temperatures well above 700oC…" is incorrect. It's not necessary to routinely achieve temp's exceeding Kanthal's red/orange thermal color boundary for any...
Here's my reply concerning dry burning oxidation which I hope is informative to those of you considering working Kanthal…#1659Attack of the (Kayfun Mini V3) Clones!.
Dr. Farsalinos criticisms of dry burning were we'll intended given aspects of Ni or Ti but not accurately applicable to Kanthal...
In my estimation it's always been FDA's wet dream to regulate nicotine, in all its derivations. All organics for that matter and inferentially, nutritrionals.
You are what you eat; and, they own it.
Good luck. :)
Yeah, juices are quite sticky. When cooked (overheated, discolor) they def get stickier. And they seem to find every crevice and joint we just can't see. Burned taste is almost impossible to clear without a good cleaning. On that score I favor backing soda toothpaste and a good soft toothbrush...
JC, I don't know if you're going to get any likes for your most astute observations because…
a) We all know it's true; and,
b) We've all succumbed to the temptation, at one time or another.
Good luck. :)
