    It depends on the atty but the most "exotic" and beefy i like to use is fused aliens 3*26/38 and the wraps and id depends on the atty and the most "classic" coil i use for direct lung is 3*28/38 again the wraps depend on the attys. And for mouth to lung or restricted direct lung i vape 3*30/38...

    Since u say the bad taste goes away after a while then i guess its not a problem of tooo much cotton... As already said make sure u dry burn the coil before u put the cotton through it.. Also make sure the cotton u use is stored on the package it came on or any good ziplock airtight bag...

    My advice will always be to lower the nic and vape the least nicotine that will satisfy your cravings whatever that percentage is always good to lower the nic u vape to get weaker cravings.... If u feel nausea or any feeling like shortness of breath then u know the nic u vape is toooo much for...
