Piedmont, CA is looking to introduce the concept of Restricting Smoking in Public Places and Possible Direction to staff on their next steps. But that is not the creepy part, stay tuned for that after I get some details out of the way first. Given the short notice I am sure I can not get folks...
Oh, indeed he does. I thought that was public knowledge.... check check... yes, that is public knowledge. :-)
And it's a FEDERAL GRANT, no less. $20M for their "Tobacco Regulatory Sciences".
Nothing much other than two very lengthy blog posts with hopefully some re-usable material for everyone else and a few videos I had to painstakingly capture from the player on their website. Oh, well, that and lots of fury about how not a single vaper in the affected area showed up after...
If you are unaware of the outrageous lies and disinformation being put out by the Berkeley City Council and people from the tobacco-control and anti-tobacco groups, please familiarize yourself with the following so the rest of this post will make more sense to you...
Heck, I'll throw one in as well then. So... we're trying to get DC2 to come to ECC while at the same time trying to ensure leaving would be a problem, right? :-)
Haha, yeah, was about to go to sleep and saw your post. :-)
ECC is the Electronic Cigarette Convention in Ontario, CA. 5,6,7 Sept. The trade show part doesn't interest me as much by itself but we're going to have a lot of meetings there (which is why we're leaving the 3rd, some happen before...
Soon. It's the local and state levels we need to continue to monitor because it will only intensify from this point forward. For California specifically I'm expecting a taxation proposal to come down the pipe and that fits in with the battle over the definition the ANTZ seek with a passion for...
After the last round it's safe to consider it dead. Corbett did ask for the option for reconsideration but she knows what she's up against after not getting enough votes last time around and being squashed between the pro-vaping side and her (former?) ANTZ "friends" that turned on her. She's...
There was some talk going on about FDA regulations today and someone was kind enough to show the FDA comment that was written and submitted. Very impressive, especially given that it's been written by a non-smoker/non-vaper who is really passionate and an advocate for vaping (and who gave me...
It's an unfortunate situation that so many are confident in relying on a black market future that at this point only exists in their minds and wishes. I always ask vendors how consumer driven they are and whether they want their customers to drive them into a future where they would need to sell...
Still working on this, or rather Justin is, diligently so.
Monument will sell to the vapor and tobacco industry but only with a $100m (per order!) liability coverage.
Currently the ones that appear to not sell are Dow, Shell, Univar, Nexeo, and Lyondell Basell.
There was one who would...
We had one other manufacturer (not Dow) who did not have a published policy and followed the same process of questioning and denying a sale. Same day they were fine selling a few drums when told it was for use in outdoor fog machines. But, it appears Dow didn't use to care much and has recently...
Not so useful (or cost effective) if you're dealing with 55 gallon drums or larger orders. Which is generally more the kind of order placed at the manufacturers that have recently been avoiding sales based on our particular purpose. :-)
